Boxing still Rocks! But, I'll choose a top fight of MMA over a top Boxing contest any day of the week. But come on! If anyone says that Boxing is no longer a great sport is apparently a "newbee" spectator. Even the up and coming young guys in MMA are taught the rich culture of competitive Boxing and educated on the greats of that sport.

Anyway, Pac-Man all the way!

God bless friends!

I think MMA has spoiled many of us, myself included. Growning up in martial arts I always wondered what would happen if Chuck Norris stepped into a fight with Tommy Hernes or Superfly Jimmy Snukka. MMA in many ways answers those questions...especially in the old UFC days.

I agree with Dan. Boxing does suck. It has got to be the most boring sport to watch besides baseball. I have to admit the sport of mma has spoiled me and it has spoiled me alot.

Boxing has its own appeal as it is one portion of fighting. Like the floor routine in gymnastics is one portion of the full sport. But to get gold in gymnastics you must compete at all the events. Like in fighting you must be somewhat well rounded at it. Im sure that alot of these fighters would gladly be boxers as the paychecks are much bigger. I respect and enjoy the occasional boxing match but fighting to me is still "where its at"

I agree with you "Dan is an Idiot"...all but the "Dan is an idiot" part as I don't know "Dan" or if he is an idiot. Boxing is a cornerstone of MMA. It's the sweet science for a reason. Just like Jujutsu, wrestling, and Muay Thai are the others of the 4 basic food groups in MMA. But we, as MMA fans, are used to seeing all of them blended together and it takes a real fan of the others to follow the sports anymore. Boxing shouldn't go away but I think we can agree that MMA is the wave of the future and as such should have a bigger place in the sports world. Maybe I am wrong and boxing is still like soccer is to Americans...we don't see the appeal but the rest of the world does?!? I love boxing but haven't followed it in years and I don't think I am alone in that regard.

Who cares boxing sucks anyways. I just wish MMA would just put the final nail in the coffin of professional boxing and be done with it

This is an interesting fight. I think De La Hoya will have a good game plan and stick and move from the outside.

I'm surprised he weighed in so light having not fought at 147 in 7years.

Pacquiao is moving up 2 weight classes So we'll see how he does with the added weight. His speed is where his power comes from.
