MMA News: “Big” John McCarthy To Retire Following TUF 6 Finale

YahooSports is reporting, that “Big” John McCarthy will referee his last mixed martial arts event this weekend at The Ultimate Fighter Season 6 Finale in Las Vegas.
McCarthy is expected to announce his retirement today during a Fight Network press conference.
Earlier this week, we learned McCarthy has taken a job as a MMA analysis with The Fight Network.
McCarthy has been referring MMA since UFC 2 back in 1994. He holds a BJJ black belt from Rorion Gracie and owns his a gym in Valencia, CA called Big John McCarthy Ultimate Training Academy. For more on Big John Click Here

damn, that kinda sucks. I like McCarthy, he is the best ref in the UFC. I hope he still plans on doing some reffing in the future maybe in Cali events.
