Middleweight Not On GSP’s Radar – Video

Forget friends, one fight Georges St. Pierre vs Anderson Silva at 185lbs.

Comments

  1. First he said he was gonna do it and now he is saying that his friends are important. I think GSP does not want to get humiliated by A. Silva

  2. GSP has no chance against A. Silva. Silva is one of the "best pound for pound" fighters in the world easily top 5. I don't think GSP is there he is probably a top 3 most athletic fighter but he is a lay and prey kind of fighter ever since he had his chin exposed. Was an exciting fighter years ago but he's fighting to not lose instead of fighting to win…

  3. agreed Ken, where is all the fancy kyokhusin moves he used to do. Where is his exceptional boxing and submissions. GSp is not exciting anymore

  4. I disagree. I think GSP is at the top of his game. I was very impressed with his ability to add wrestling to his game and really use it to control his opponents. I would love to see him fight Anderson Silva regardless if he added the addtional wieght. Have to give BJ Penn credit, if GSP had his attitude towards foghting in a different wieght class the A. Silva fight would allready have happened.

  5. Oswald Gobblecock says:

Well, this sounds like Tito not wanting to fight Chuck cause they were "friends". lol Not really but reminded me of that. Fact is GSP has NOT shown that he can compete at a higher weight class like Anderson and BJ have so until he does, he doesn't deserve a shot at Silva when Silva even destroys guys out of his own weight division.

  6. did any of you ever think that maybe GSP likes just dominating his own division and doesnt need to move up and look like a fucking idiot like penn did when he moved up and got destroyed. maybe the guy knows his limitations. and he hasnt been stopping people because his last fight was against alves who is a fucking beast. the fight before that was penn and he stopped him in the 4th so shut the fuck up you haters.

  7. Sticking to a weight class is a smart move, changing has ruined the careers of many great fighters. Remember when Roy Jones Jr. moved up to HW so he could face Ruiz? He made the jump, defeated Ruiz and was never the same fighter again. He returned to his weight class and his timing was gone, his accuracy was off, his stamina that had once been amazing was thrown. He began losing to mediocre fighters and could not explain it. That stupidity cost him a place on the GOAT list.

One does not leave a weight class because his competition has proven lesser than another class, more competition will come, and should he decide to move up, it will take a year at least to make the transition as anyone who knows the fight game will agree.

  8. well if i was the best at something i do i would definitely change what i had been doing, OR NOT. I am guessing he has this mentality. FUCK YOU, I'm the best bring your weak shit and I am going to send you packing like all the rest and be champ for about 10 years til I'm sick of beating you sacks of shit. Probably not quite how GSP would word it, you would have to throw some broken english in there but in the end, same meaning.

  9. I was never the one to say he should make the move to 185 it would be a bad move for his skill set. he beats people by being more athletic and stronger than people and being bale to control them on the ground. He has no chance of doing that with the top of the 185 division. Big Jon, Penn didn't look like an idiot moving up and fighting GSP. Remember GSP got caught on tape cheating in that fight. GSP is the Bill Bellicheck of MMA. They guy was an exciting fighter when he was coming up in the division but no one wants to see him grease up his shoulders and lay on people anymore

  10. Yeah, it was the vasoline that won the fight for GSP.

    Are you kidding?

He dominated Penn, it was hard to watch, even Penn's corner couldn't watch it. Come on.

  11. why should he do it

at the end of the road he is a dead man

    murder:a. silva

  12. Silva would walk through GSP the same way he walked through everyone else. It will never happen because everyone knows what would happen and they are such great "friends" instead the UFC will try to recruit some new talent at 185 Silva will beat Maia, Sonnen, Marquardt, Belfort…GSP will ground out Hardy then pick apart Fitch, and Kos, lay on Alves and P. Thiago until someone neutralizes his wrestling and athleticism. He's a talented guy just doesn't take any chances or try to finish the fight aggressively enough

  13. Hardy has a chance and has very good boxing for mma and great take down defense. GSP breaks a lot of guys mentally. If Hardy can stay mentally tough he has a good chance of winning
