Matt Hughes Expected At UFC 112
By CagE | December 1, 2009
Former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes expects to return to the Octagon at UFC 112, according to his official website.
I have a possible date for my next fight, they tell me that it is April 10th. I’ll tell you later who and where when I find out for sure if it is confirmed.
Hughes, 36, last fought at UFC 98, defeating Matt Serra via decision.
It is unknown if Hughes will fight MMA veteran Renzo Gracie on the yet to be announced UFC fightcard.

I am losing more interest in Matt Hughes with each day that passes. He doesn’t want to fight up and coming contenders, he wants fights with old men.
I have no problem with fighters wanting big fights, but when it comes to having a run at the title, shouldn’t he fight the guys that past him on his way down.
AKA have called him out (though Josh Koscheck has resorted to calling everyone out) and what about fighters like Anthony Johnson and Paul Daley, surely it would be logical and fight the top contenders to ultimately get back to the title.
I guess its just a matter of time until they announce Hughes vs Trigg 3. And then Hughes vs any Gracie who hasn’t fought in years.
