Lyoto Machida In Full Media Press Before Fight With Shogun At UFC 104

Lyoto Machida takes a break from training at the Black House gym for photoshoots and media interviews. Lyoto’s English has improved greatly over the past few months and does the interview with limited help from manager and interpreter, Ed Soares.

Lyoto also goes into possibly of someday fighting UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar which he calls a “supernatural fighter”.

  1. Machida would get destroyed by Brock

  2. I like Machida as a fighter alot but he really doesnt stand a chance against Brock, the weight differance alone would be huge your talking 70lbs…it would make for a great super fight though.

  3. Machida wouldnt last one round in the cage with Brock way to much power for Machida to handle technique is only good to a certain extent.

  4. DUH LMAO no chance machida against brock DUH

  5. Have IQ's dropped on this site!?…. what's the best thing in Machida's arsenal… answer his Elusive Karate style!

Yes Brock is bigger and stronger – But Machida is a life long martial artist – and right now, along with Fedor, Anderson silva and GSP he is an 'Elite fighter'!

Personally, I think he would aviod all of Brocks offence (Slow takedown attempts, and poor striking)… pick him apart and submit him once tired….

Sometimes it's like UFC 1 never happened and folks have leart nothing – when it comes to that level of elite skill set – skill will triumph over power!

  6. Ok DanP way off on this one Brock slow take downs watch some of his fights and listen to post fight interviews of his opponents they say how fast he is with his size and strentgh. SLOW TAKEDOWNS ARE U SERIOUS?

  7. OK, maybe not that slow – yeah fair enough he's fast for a HW of his size – I still think Machida would be far too elusive for him tough

  8. More like a yogi bear trying get a hold of a cheeta!

  9. you guys are crazy your saying Machida does not stand a chance against Brock because he made a washed up sorry ass Frank Mir look bad. Mir Never had conditioining he never had aggresiveness. Mir is from the Shamrock Era of fighting. Sure Brock is Big and strong So what? When you have the best MMA fighter in Lyoto its possilbe that Brock can lose. Lyoto Also trained in Sumo and I'm sure he is used to pusing 300+guys. Brock Is not Quicker than Machida either and he will gas out

  10. Jay makes no sense Brock also made Coture look very old and Brock isnt a sumo wrestler he body slams sumo wrestlers he will pick Machida up by the neck and choke slam him LMAO if you think he could stand a chance.

  11. It would be a Lion pouncing on a zebra, not elusive enough.

  12. I see a Brock Vs Lyoto going to Machida. Even with brock being as fast as he is, Lyoto is the least hit fighter in all of mma. Brock's accuracy is nothing compared to machida as well. Brock has yet to go against a real striker, and after he knocks out carwin (IMO), people are gonna say he has. He still will not have faced a truly talented striker. Lyoto Machida is a truly talented striker (with a great ground game to back it up).

In the end I see brock overexerting himself and falling into one of Machida's traps.

  13. Yeah MR. duh I guess Undertaker And Big show will also pick up any good ufc fighter and choke slam them also right??? dont give me that shit. Lyoto would put up a good fight against Brock

  14. dane drebin says:

brock would get beat up on the feet but he would get ahold of lyoto and lyoto wouldnt man handle him like tito he would eventually get taken down and beaten on.

  15. Lyoto Is not Frank Mir on the ground Brock Had Randy on the ground Randy Managed to get back on his feet. Lyoto Can move on the ground also and possibly set up a submission or get it back to the feet and frustrate Brock. Please Size and srength is not everything.

  16. dane drebin says:

ya randy got back up… that doesnt mean lyoto would. people watch lyots last few fights and forget about him getting taken down by bj penn, nakamura, and soko. it would be a competitive fight but once brock got him down it would be all she wrote and lyoto would take a beating. he's in the 205 pound division for a reason.
