i think they want to close the show with a spectacle fight. the one that everyone will be talking about after it happens. to the average viewer there is nothing more entertaining than watching big heavyweights throwing blows and one getting KO’d.

you know, i think making kimbo-thompson the main event is bad for MMA. hear me out. kenny florian was talking about this on MMA Live. he said the main event shold really be lawler-scott smith. both have been with MMA for a long time, and lawler is known — especially since hs’s fought in the UFC before and is affiliated with hughes’s gym. lawler is the champ in that division.

yeah kimbo has gotten a ton of press the last month. i think the only fighter that gets marketed more is chuck liddell. hes everywhere and now has his own supplement package. maybe kimbo can do the same thing next and try to sell a kimbo chest shaver.

i am not saying they should fight or that kimbo is a great fighter but he has been promoted more than any fighter, magazine covers cmt awards comericials and nelson is a huge step up for him. do i think nelson or kimbo would ever be champ in the ufc, no but neither will most of the fighters in the ufc.do i think nelson has potential yes kimbo i have alot of douts but i would like to see.

kimbo has no chance against lesnar plain and simple i dont understand why people think it would be a good fight. big country is a step up for kimbo for sure but he would never be a champ in the ufc EVER

I think everyone wants to see both Kimbo and Lesnar fight. Kimbos marketing comes from the fact that everyone has such a strong opinion of him. Seems like mostly hate. But I look at the comment boards and polls on these mma sites and Kimbo has the most comments in all by far. So I don’t know if Kimbo is the most marketed fighter by the org, but he is definitely the most marketed fighter by the fans and their word of mouth.
