Who really cares what DANA says anyway he down talks down to young fighters on TUF all the time and all of those guys can kill him. As soon as KIMBO's contract is up with XC DANA will try to sign him and immediatley put him in big fights. The he will talk about how KIMBO was a star MLB (and ranked 9th in the country among recruits) for Miami Palmetto High School in the Pinecrest area of Miami, Florida. In college, he went on to the University of Miami on academic scholarship, but did not play football. Was a Bodyguard for a while, and even was walk on for the Dolphins in 1997 (back when they were good). All that organized sports garbage doesn't mean you will make the best fighter. Look at GSP only karate before MMA and he out wrestled Koscheck who is one of the most decorated wrestlers ever in the UFC.

DANA has always pulled stunts like this. Bashing the competition. The UFC is doing the right thing for BROCK but the wrong thing for themselves by putting their new cash cow in there against people who can actually beat. Morey brought up TYSON. In boxing whenever they have an newcomer with potential, but has a huge commercial draw and can up ticket sales, they don't pu them in the ring with other contenders immediatly because early in any athele's career you are only looking for higlight reel material. Elite XC is doing the right thing by puting him inthe ring with bumbs or at leats other strikers who don't like grappling on the ground. People like us who watch MMA regularly are gonna watch it regardless and the companies know that. So what do they do? put abunch of higlight KO's on a tape to draw in new fans. UFC made a mistake by not doing the same with BROCK. the benifit is since he lost so early he is gonna train harder developing his weaknesses so that he get's better. Its good that happened to BROCK a lot of youg fighters lose confidence when the lose that way early in their careers. But I believe BROCK has been in the public long enough to rebound. As much as we want to see BROCK and KIMBO. KIMBO is doing the right thing fighting guys he matches up against. Anyone think about KIMBO and PAUL the HEADHUNTER BENTELLO or whatever his last name is. Will be a step up in competition and he is a XC fighter.

Exactly!!!! Elite XC is only out for themselves and i think they are a disrespecting everything in MMA by doing bussiness this way..you dont see Lesnar getting handpicked oppenents every fight he is being tested. The UFC is a much bigger and stronger Org. because of this and they have the talent to prove it, there are no pushovers in the UFC and if they are then they get rid of them ASAP.

I can't add much to that but I personally would like Kimbo to win. I want him to win because he is bringing a new excitement to the sport, new fans see him as fearless and unbeatable, that brings excitement to the sport. I hope this sport grows and grows because it is so dynamic and exciting. Both on the feet and on the ground. I see Kimbo as a Tyson to the sport that brings in a new following.

I agree Dana is his own worst enemy. Most of the public (non true MMA fans) doesn't even know that it is called MMA, they think it is called Ultimate Fighting. That is the impact that the UFC has made on MMA. The UFC will continue to be the top dog for a while...but Dana should be careful. He can run out so many top fighters and still be able able to produce great fights. Losing Randy, Cro Cop (yes he was 1-2 in the UFC but still an exciting big name), Tim Sylvia (I don't like him but that is another story-still a big name that was a champ), possibly losing Arvloski, and not being able to get Fedor...the UFC has taken some hits. That is not even mentioning the upcoming loss of Tito. I am not a Tito fan but he is a big name that has been the champ and known mainstream more than Minotauro and Anderson Silva, two current champs. You have to have a certain swager, chip on your shoulder, and cockiness to be on top...but he takes it to a new level. He goes to a point that you can't help but dislike him. He should make a note of the saying, "All good things come to an end". I predict that he will be the main reason that the UFC gets toppled from the top of the mountain.

As far Kimbo goes, he is an extremly tough guy, with extreme strength, aggression, and athletic ability. But he is far from being an MMA legend. He is 3-0 and has his match-ups handpicked. A great question is why is he not fighting Rogers? The great answer is that Elite XC has invested so much into this guy and he is a cash cow for them. They can't put him up against someone that would have a good shot at beating him. They have some great fighters and as an organization, they have great ideas, like being on Showtime and now CBS, and being the first big name to produce women fights -and the women fights have been pretty good (a lot better than the recent performances of Kaleb and Lutter). But their bread and butter is Kimbo...and to stay as their money-maker, he has to keep winning. While the odds are against it, I would love to see James beat Kimbo. James has a fighter's chance and may connect with a lucky one. He is no great fighter but he is big and strong and has beaten a few good fighters. Anything can happen and Elite XC better hope that it doesn't. Because where would they go from here? If Kimbo keeps winning, he will continue to be on the three other CBS shows. But happens if he loses? Can anyone say Houston Alexander?
