So “Kalib the Coward”, to protest and “screw over” the UFC decides his swan song is to back pedal his way to mma notority by this shameful display in his home country! Hmmm…maybe someone can doctor his video with a bikini and octagon girl round sign…or maybe there’s a spot for him/her there after all !He’ll still be able to tap dance…broken foot and all as he had no trouble running!

There is no excuse for that behavior. If he was “protesting” he shouldn’t have shown up to the fight. He should have passed on the fight or, as has already been said, tried to win so he secured some airtime in the post fight interview. All he did was dig his own grave.
And all this complaining about the UFC is stupid. I’m certainly not a fan of Dana but in free societies contracts are sacred. If you don’t like the terms, and I realize this is a hard thing to understand for the masses of idiots out there, DON’T SIGN THE CONTRACT THEN! Let’s buy homes we can’t afford, hd tvs we can’t afford, SIGN FIGHTING CONTRACTS WE CAN’T HONOR, and then try to weasel out of it after the other end of the party held up to their obligations of the contract. He should never get a fight where people have to pay to see it again. I used to like him. In a way I’m glad he did what he did. Now the fans realize what a douchebag he really is.

Oh, and hat’s off to Quarry for at least trying to fight and giving the fans something entertaining. Kudos.

Couldn’t disagree more with the 37th post. Did you somehow miss the Danzig v Bocek fight, which was the best fight of the night. While GSP v Serra was what everyone wanted to see, it still turned out to be a rather unremarkable fight.

And yes the fight fee was 16K, but the fight bonuses where 75K. This follows the UFC’s formula of rewarding guys who fight well, not just paying them to show up.

In a post UFC 83 interview, Kalib Starnes said that he broke his foot and was waiting to see a UFC medical claims representative so he could get x-rays……..Sounds to me like the UFC does in fact cover its fighters medical bills.

The Franklin fight and the GSP one where the only ones worth talking about. The rest was filler.
If this fight had ended in a KO, it still would have been an average fight.

Buying/closing PRIDE didnt do much to increase the quality, just got rid of a competitor that could rise the fees of fighters.
16,000$ to fight in a UFC card?
Kimbo used to make more on side bets when he used to fight those slow maricons.

Very underwhelmed by the quality of the cards. And no, I dont watch that gay reality show, so I dont have that built in name recognition that UFC fanbois have. And throwing in some third rate canadian fighters to soothe the natives is a cheap ploy that might impress the dimwits but is nothing more than a subsitute to paying for better quality fighters.

QUALITY not QUALITY (or TV personalities).
