Comments

  1. Cro Crop and Sapp won…alright..i wonder what Sapp wieghed at fight time like 380 i guess…there is no way Sapp could fight in the States unless there was a superfight or something.

  2. Losing sucks, but losing to a guy in a pink and yellow leotard, really sucks.

    Aoki is a submission freak.

  3. i already saw a few of these fights and wow what a great event, great job by aoki beating a very good alvarez and overreem beating a k-1 fighter at his own game along with mousasi and kawajiri.cro cop won but it wasn't a exiting fight and how about semmy 3 years in a row k-1 grand champ getting a sub. and melvin stepping up on 1 days notice doing the thought impossible knocking out hunt in like 18 seconds.

  4. Melvin was awesome. Geat combo to put Mark Hunt down.

The Cro Cop fight was pretty dull but a win is a win i guess, i dont think it means he is going to get back to his best. Hong Man is a very dissapointing fighter he doesn't look like he knows what he is doing in there.

    Aoki rules.

  5. Aoki is on a tear since his first fight with JZ. I didn't think he could beat Alvarez but that just shows how dangerous he is on the ground. Even so, WAMMA is naming him the #1 lightweight in the world which I don't think is correct.

  6. Damn! Overeem is no joke, huh?…cro-cop did what I thought he would…hopefully he'll start to get those devestating kicks back to what we've seen before and stop getting ko'd so much…I would love to see sapp fight in the states more, but we can't compete for him with a country who doesn't care what he's on or the shape he's in..I still say he'd be damn fun to watch with some of the bigger names in hwt div's here & now!

  7. I agree Eric as good as Aoki is, he is not the best lightweight in the world. WAMMA can only judge on orginizations that recongnise them as an official ranking body. In my opinion BJ Penn is the best 155 lb fighter in the world but the UFC and WAMMA dont really get along.

  8. I'll second that, luke! Bj should roll out and just POWN gsp…I don't think gsp even thinks for a minute that there's a chance of it happening, either…that's what's gonna be interesting….a couple months after getting stunned(whooped)by sera..he goes on radio disrespecting the guy, basically undoing the classy way he responded immediately after that fight…after this fight….there won't be any excuses or backtracking on statements available…Prodigy all the way.

  9. Tim: Sapp could fight in America very easily.

If he stopped all of the roids he'd drop down to 280 easily.

then he'd only have to cut 15 pounds at weigh ins.

He's a freakshow roider, he'll never come here.

  10. I don't think Sapp has weighed 280 since like his freshman year in high school!

  11. i dont see any way sapp can make 265. i cant believe mark hunt got ko'd in just a few seconds. before this fight he was known for his chin and being able to take the hardest hits. he used to take cro cops high kicks when he was in his prime.

  12. thanks for the link cage.

  13. P4P wierdest fighter in the world is Shinya Aoki.

  14. I can't believe alvarez got tapped so freaking quick. I thought he would really push Aoki.

  15. MW74 GSP didn't disrespect Matt Serra, in fact he was doin' a Mea Culpa all this thing was a big misunderstanding. Be in GSP's place for 2 minute, everyone's sayin' to you that you are the best p4p, you're a god, a prodigy, the future of the sport all day long, what are you gonna do? You're gonna stay relax and you're gonna think that you're invincible. On top of that, your next opponent is someone most people don't even know who he is, that's enough to have a big head and think that's gonna be an easy win. That's what he said, he said he took his opponent too lightly and in fact he was blaming himself, I know it sounds cold for Serra to hear GSP say he didn't took him seriously but I don't think GSP meant to be disrespectful. What he learned about this loss is to never take an opponent lightly whoever he is, and he surely won't take BJ lightly, expect GSP to win in great fashion.

  16. Alex, yeah, I heard that part, but immediately atfer the fight, he said it like he should have…gave his opponent respect for beating him and said sera was the better man…then later when on canadian radio…he recanted and said it WASN'T cause sera was the better man…he just got lucky…listen, I know he's better than sera, YOU know he's better than sera…but on the night he got beat…sera was tthe hungrier, more aggressive and determined man…THAT made him BETTER if only for that night…but to recant later, when safe at home?…that was a chump move and BJ won't be the guy he can pulll that kinda BS on…it's just gonna be a whoopin if there's any justice in this world…HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL! :)

  17. dane drebin says:

mirko won in exactly the fashion i predicted. everyones sour over him not taking the overeem fight butits a good win over a huge monster.
