I want EliteXC to stay around cause it makes UFC give us better cards and even free ones. I just want Elite to back real fighters and put people in main events that deserve it. They have to stop lying also about Kimbo getting beat was a huge upset cause it wasn’t. Keep Kimbo as a fighter but they should stop making him fight in the main event and promote better fighters.

i don’t want elite to fold. even if you only support the ufc, competiton will make the ufc better. i don’t think it got much attention but the ShoXC a couple of weeks ago was the shit. the only thing it was missing was big names but the whole show was good.

Like I have been writing in the past, Kimbo was a joke. Shamrock would have exposed him. Kimbo was that bad. Now they can go back to doing You Tube videos behind the Jack In The Box of Kimbo beating up bums. And when I say bums I mean acctual bums not washed up or crappy fighters. Kimbo was a glorified bum and his 10 minutes is over.

Brock Lesnar could argueably be considered as one of the “ratings” fighters. He is kind of a gray area in that subject, but at least he has talent and isn’t fighting nobody’s

Yeah Andre you said it pretty good. The only reason I would want Elite to fold is if they keep doing this shit with guys like Kimbo. I have to disagree about UFC though. I actually don’t think they match fights off ratings, because there are a lot more combinations they could do. Also, most of the times, these fighters aren’t known like Kimbo is. Sure, some of them have been in movies, but that has only been pretty recently. I kind of think, reguardless of how much I don’t really like him, Dana White looks at it from a fighting standpoint. He looks at it thinking, “Who is the next contender, and who would make a good fight.” I am not going to say that some of it isn’t for marketing. The fact that you have to pay for most UFC filters out some of the fake fans that look for those Kimbo-type fighters.

The fact that Kimbo Lost is the best thing that could have happened , true MMA fans know that he was just a puppet brought in to increase ratings for EliteXC , But had no mma background . anyone cheering for him must be new to the sport or obviously not follow it , i really hope that this Organization Folds quickly . it has bought viewers a bad example of what a top level Organization should be.

oswald and fedor24 i completely agree, tim you say you watched it than you didn’t it was a good show and it was good to see kimbo lose you should have checked it out replays don’t have the same feeling.

Everybody knows that EliteXC protected Kimbo and hand picked his opponents to enhance his record and drive ratings. Everybody knows the UFC does the exact same thing only at a higher level. roy has it nailed. These are both sports entertainment organizations and will do anything to increase revenue whether or not to true mma fans agree with it or not. They will protect their brands. That is why I hope independent titles like the WAMMA belts have some impact on the matchmakers down the road. Maybe one day we’ll see organizations forced into co promoting to make money instead of keeping their talent locked away. Kimbo’s loss is a blow but many fans are interested to see how he responds to this in his next fight and that should still draw ratings.
