Joe Doerksen Gets The Boot From The UFC, Again

By CagE | April 30, 2008

According to Sportsnet, Canadian Joe Doerksen (39-12) has been a victim of the latest round of UFC roster cutting, following three strait losses in the UFC and WEC.

“(The UFC officials) made it very clear they’re very happy with the way I fight and they want me to come back…But they need me to go put a couple of wins together (first).”

Doerksen is not stranger to being let go by the UFC, he was released of his contract following his loss in 2004 to Joe Riggs. He later came back it 2005 to defeat current UFC middleweight contender Patrick Cote. In 2006 he was cut again, after losing the decision to fellow Canadian Nathan Marquardt.
