  1. Jeez that Pride belt is huge. I don't think Fedor will single handedly knock out the UFC's dominance. He'll come to the UFC eventually.

  2. I think he hates the UFC. They bought Pride and fired all of the employees. Dana gloats whenever a Pride fighter loses. And then he says Fedor is not a top Heavyweight. In 10 months, the landscape of talent will be changed and the superfight between Fedor and Couture will be shown in an M-1 production.

  3. well couture said he would fight fedor next year in 08. his ufc contract expires in about 6 months. then fedor-couture will happen. after couture beats fedor, then that's it. UFC will offer couture a bigger contract. M1 will go down the drain since all they have is fedor. and dana lied when he said that randy was the 2nd most paid, after liddell. mirko just made $350,000 for LOSING his last fight + first class plane tickets on his journey across the ocean. randy only got $250 for winning his last fight.

the only problem with that is that randy will get his ass kicked

  5. correction: $250K + "bonus" for couture. i personally think it's all talk. randy will be pushing 45 by next year. the inactivity will make it even worse. no one wants to see couture turn into ken shamrock.

  6. dane drebin says:

nothings for sure but i dont care where it happens i just hope it does before couture gets too old

  7. It'll happen and win or lose, it will be Randy's last fight. If he had any intention to fight anyone else he would have worked out a new deal with the UFC for more money. He wants one last fight and then to move on and do other things. In the meantime, he's opening three new Team Couture gyms throughout the country, so he'll be busy up until that fight in October 2008.

  8. I'm a big fan of the guy. He has no fear. Standing next to Zulu unfazed and then looking like Mike Tyson's PunchOut when he was throwing those high punches. He is a technical animal that is always calm. Instead of freaking when he got Super Powerbomb'd by Randleman, looking like his neck should have broke, he finished the guy off in the next minute. Anyone can be beat but Fedor is still my sure bet. I have HDNet now and I cant wait to see him on New Year's. They say Choi has some kickboxing skill. I think I'd watch it just to see a 7'2" Korean throw some kicks.

  9. Couture shouldn't even be mentioned in the same sentence as FEDOR.

  10. dane drebin says:

fedor shouldnt even be mentioned period… until he beats an impressive big name fighter who isnt a 185 pounder (matt lindland), or and over the hill 44 mark coleman twice, or a mirko cro cop who has looked hella shitty lately. i think he's an awesome fighter but honestly he hasnt faught anyone worth mentioning lately and until he does all he can be to anyone is speculation. i think dana white hit it on the head saying fedor is overrated. haha maybe that was a strong statement he should certainly be mentioned but saying couture shouldnt be in the same sentence as fedor is a far more absurd statement.

  11. watched Fedor fights. If u have seen them u dont question his ability. He beats peoples ass for fun. He toys with people. Comeon he would beat Couture. His name has to be mentioned b/c well he really hasnt lost to anyone.(except for when he got cut.) He beats the shit out of you and afterwards he just stays calm and is so use to it he dont even do a celebration of any kind. He barely smiles. This guy is like the terminator.U want to give Franklinrespect??Yet u talk shit about Fedor??? WOW

  12. He hasn't really lost. But his fight Vs. Arona was very close to a loss. I would love to see that rematch. The guy is scary, he is like a machine out there who doesn't stop. If he gets hit he doesnt care, if he bleeds he doesnt care. Yeah, he hasn't had an impressive win in a while but there is a reason he still has so much hype. Its like when Tyson came out of jail for years, people still expected him to destroy everyone after a long layoff.

  13. Couture is a great fighter. that we can agree on.

But if you look back over the course of there respective careers fight by fight then must say fedor is a better fighter. he has the tools to deal with any situation. eg, he out struck cro cop, he blew through big nogs gaurd twice, and the arm bar from the bottom he put on coleman was perfect twice.

and as for dana white and what he says . the man is a promoter. if you want to know who the best fighters are you ask the fighters.

  14. dane drebin says:

i give fedor all the credit in the world i just over exagerated that last comment because saying couture doesnt belong in the same sentence as fedor pissed me off. i give fedor all the respect in the world as a fighter when he was dominating pride. the only thing is he hasnt been dominating anything but cans since prides downfall and im taking the end of pride aswell. the 185 pounder mattlindland, 44 year old mark coleman twice, and a tired ass mirko cro cop who should have taken time off to heal and rest a long time ago just doesnt do it for me. did u know mirko has had 30 fights in 6 years on top of 23 fights in kick boxing no shit he's startin to wear out. ya fedor is elite and deserves all the respect in the world for his record and people he has beat. buuuuuut… would u still rank jordan as the best basketball player currently if he hadnt hardly played in a long time? i think fedors still got the heart and talent but how long can u expect to keep the number one spot when u havent faught a top ten fighter ina long time. THATS ALL IM SAYING haha you can rip into me all u want steve i do think fedor is elite. you think franklin is just good because he's number too thats rediculous. if i was a betting man i wouldnt bet against randy i think he would take it if its in the next year. i think fedor will be too used to cans and wont deal with the shock of facing randy while randy's confidence and skill will be at an all time high

  15. sooooo…Bas Rutten is a can because he hasn't fought anyone lately? He is still one of the greatest because of his accomplishments. Are all you Americans only interested in who is number one right now, at this very moment, for five minutes? Your attention span doesn't do the sport justice.

  16. your right eirikr when a fighter loses one fight or two fights here they start saying his career is over, every fight is a tough fight and its hard not to lose some fights when your fight tough guys.there is only a few fighters that have long streches with out a lose even great fighters lose when facing top oppents.
