Yeah and your right these things are all true I just like to speculate at the greatest Lengths to prove that it is very possible afflicition could become much more solid at the drop of a hat.

I don think the loser of Hendo/Franklin will have to worry about where they will fight next. Both will have a job in UFC for as long as their career lasts. Same goes for Rampage and Wand.
Jake Shields should go to UFC. They have the best 170 lb fighters at the moment, i cant see him going to affliction when they have a limited amount of welterweights, the only plausable fight for Sheilds would be Jay Herion but where do you go from there.
Robbie Lawler is a great fighter who can sell tickets no matter where he goes, i see a huge stack of promoters trying to sign him.
Also Zalbag i dont think you could count Tyson Griffin out of the 155 picture yet. He is still young with great skills he just fell short of the bigger and better Sherk. Yes he may have fallen off the ladder but it only takes a win over someone credible to get back up there.

Anyway I just like to dream on this because two very good organizations would be so good for MMA and also good for us fans. Its likely that either none of those fighters go or it could be that Affliction catches on and attains alot of good talent. If they could homegrow their talent like the UFC does sometimes that would really be the best thing for them though. Affliction is still so new If they had one more top ten p4p fighter at another weight besides HW then they could probably stay pretty serious based off that.

Hey Roy remember we were saying a couple of days ago, how close affliction is to being at least on prides level.
Picture this

Jake Shields, Eddie Alvarez, Nick Diaz, Paulo Filho all go to Affliction.

These seem like the most realistic possibilities

as for more unrealistic but still fairly likely.
Tito Ortiz, Brandon Vera, Houston Alexander, Eric Schaeffer, sokodjou.

If you look at some of the other weightclasses like lightweight and welterweight for instance you might see some talents be interested in jumping to affliction for a better shot at a belt. Plus the upside of more money. There also are quite a bit of fighters who just hate working for dana white. I could see in the future very hypothetically:
lw
Joe Lauzon (cannot yet compete at the top of the lw food chain maybe never will)

Joe Stevenson(seriously when will his next title shot be)

Tyson Griffin (just got pushed down to the bottom of the pile)

Spencer Fisher(eventually Dana should push him out it seems like natural selection even though hes one of my fave fighters.)

Roger Huerta(How is his and Danas relationship right now? and when is his next fight 2013)

ww
Koscheck (wont get a title shot anytime soon)

Diego Sanchez (same thing).

Yoshida(if he loses to Koscheck I think he will upset him)

MW
Prolly less people here because they will all be lining up for 185 after Silva Retires.
however
possibly

Robbie Lawler as he would be a fitting belt holder in affliction.

you also have to wonder what the future holds for the losers of the Rich Franklin/Dan Henderson Fight, and the Wanderlai Silva/Rampage Fight. Don't forget Chuck Liddel who would nt want to see Chuck Liddel knock the Blonde off Tito Ortiz one last time in AFFliction (well apparantley not that many on our site)

iI dont like the way people judge the UFC heavyweight division as though its supposed to be the top one. Who made that the rule?
Think of all the talent that is in the welterweight, lightweight and light heavyweight divisions. Also in my opinion heavyweight fights in general never live up to the hype, i know there has been some good hw fights but most lack the excitment of the 155 lb and 170 lb fights.

The Ufc hvw division is already weak. This just makes it more irrelevant than before.. Just like boxing, the hvwt division is the standard the ufc will be ultimatley judged by. Without Fedor, AA, Barnett etc. It is a joke PERIOD.
