ESPN’s Jim Rome Comments on EliteXC Primetime on CBS

By CagE | June 3, 2008

In comment I mean “Hates”. The refereeing was a joke, but what did you really expect from a guy who was making his third professional fight. Lawler-Smith was a battle. Carano looked good for the shape she was in.

I’m all for MMA being on Primetime, but more in the form of a highlight show, because you know CBS has to much to lose if something goes horribly wrong live on network television.

I totally agree w/rome elite xc was very over produced and the so called main event was a joke. Dana White is right BJ Penn would beat Kimbo, easily!

rome should get in the ring (SPARRING)with kimbo .It still was a good show of FIGHTS. It was no freak show .BARONI vs J.V, Carano vs Young ,Scott vs Lawler didn’t seem like a freak shows to me. The ufc wouldn’t do anything different. They would of had Colman(Old tomato can)vs Lesner (Roid monster).D. white was mad at cbs because they didn’t pick to go with the ufc. that’s why he was talking crap a few pages back.

I thought it was pretty good. The production was way better than its ever been for Elite. Its not their fault the main event was a wash. Every sport has its great moments and its crappy ones. Like Scooby said most of the fights were pretty damn good.
