Comments

  1. I'm suprised that Tank had the same payout as Kimbo. Some of those guys didn't make squat so I hope they had sponsors.

  2. tank got paid

  3. damn, tank got treated well! i think that's what randy means when he says he wants to be paid equally to his status. kimbo got paid more than frank mir altogether in 2007.

  4. im all 4 the fighters getting paid, as long as its fair 4 everyone and it doesnt start becoming what boxing is.

  5. BusinessOwner says:

$1, $500, $1000, $1500 !! Where are all the UFC haters that complain when they pay $3000, $4500 or even $6000?

[derek] What are you talking about? In 2007 the UFC paid Randy 1/2 million signing bonus, 3-million for 2 fights, and $200,000 as an employee. The UFC paid Randy more as an employee than Kimbo made as a headliner and they paid Randy 10 times more PER FIGHT than Kimbo. Kimbo is very popular too, star power has nothing to do with talent.

  6. I understand that its a smaller org and that it was free on Showtime…but getting $1…Gabin should use 50 cents to ride the bus home and put the other 50 cents in his "I need an agent" fund.

  7. Sorry guys, the $1 was reported to the commission because Gabin is actually getting paid separately by a local Miami MMA promoter who set the fight up with EliteXC.

  8. BusinessOwner, i think you misunderstood what i said. i said randy complained that he wasn't get paid equally to his status. randy has a BIG status, which means he should be getting paid a lot; i never compared what he made to what kimbo made. secondly, i compared kimbo to what frank mir is making. because if i'm not mistaken, mir got paid only $60-80K in his last fight.

  9. When you get rid of pride the only other pay perview organization. Buy up xience, tap out, throwdown etc. monopolize the whole sport but pay new fighters 2,000 – 4,000 a fight for three years. You can pay some high fees, but not what pride paid. UFC is the only game because of there power with the athletic commission. There is a need to get rid of the Athletic Commission and the maybe someone could compete with the UFC. As long as there is a Commission regulating this sport there will never be competition with the UFC.

  10. what about another overseas organization like M1? i think that even if the UFC has an upperhand here in the states then an overseas org can still rise like Pride did.

  11. Maybe, but they will never be able to compete now. UFC has locked up all television and good pay per view spots. Cuban with his HDTV is the only hope for another organization. He may have to keep his events in Dallas.

  12. Robert McCoy says:

can I get into a street fightin NO cage just Yet!!!!
