EliteXC “Showdown” On September 20th Cancelled

The FightNetwork is reporting that EliteXC “Showdown” slated for Sept. 20 at the PIT Arena in Albuquerque, NM, has been cancelled. No details were given, but being only two weeks before the scheduled EliteXC on CBS show, it makes sense that the promotion cut this card. Rumored fights included:

Jake Shields vs. John Alessio
Alberto Crane vs. Mike Valdez

This is only a month away. Not a good sign for the health of pro-elite. I do think it would be better for them to focus on CBS however…

Looks like EliteXC put to much hope in Kimbo … he better stay away from a real organization or he will get hurt
