EliteXC News: Villasenor Replaces Ninja Rua on May 31

EliteXC has announced that Joey Villasenor will step in and fight Phil Baroni on the debut of CBS “Saturday Night Fights” show on May 31, replacing Murilo “Ninja” Rua who dropped out of the fight for an undisclosed reason.

Villasenor, made quick work in his last fight, knocking out Ryan Jensen in the first round of the co-promoted Strikeforece-EliteXC card on March 29.

CBS “Saturday Night Fights” is set for May 31 from the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

    Too bad ninja can’t fight but I think Villasenor is a good replacement.

    What’s up with the Rua brothers? They are two of my favorite fighters and they just can’t stay healthy.

    you’re right. ninja had to back out of two fights already and shogun had to back out of his fight with liddell. knee’s are tricky and i hope this second surgery will fix the problem.
