There's no disputing that. In the end it's all about the bottom line.

It almost feels like he has that Mike Tyson appeal. People want to see the opponent look nervous when they see Kimbo. They want to see a big guy throwing bombs and running through the other guy. I get what your saying Joe about the crowd. They probably were there to see a brawl more than a MMA match. Like the guy who yelled "stomp his f'ing eye."

Like him or not, Kimbo is money for Elite regardless if he fights a top fighter or a can. Lesnar just pulled in the third highest grossing PPV in UFC history. I think Kimbo probably gets their highest numbers too.

Nate: For the most part (and I'm not excluding myself) most people want to see Kimbo fight a top 10 because they want to end the hype and marketing. There are a lot of people that can't get behind Kimbo with support as well. He comes off as a thug (well he is one I guess) with the whole "I'm a six figga ni**a" attitude. I have to admit though, his attitude seems to be getting better along with his skills. He seems more humble in each interview. I'm sure most of that comes from Bas as well.

I'm not offering an argument against your position, just a reason why so many people feel the way they do. As much as I hate to admit it, from a business standpoint, and a training standpoint they ARE doing it right. From your average MMA fan standpoint, I along with many others want to see Kimbo get WORKED!! Especially in front of his thug crowd that likes to throw their little gang signs at the cameras.

He hasn't yet earned what he's been given. I know that's the nature of the beast, but that's the kind of thing that breeds the desire to see him fight someone worthy.

i'm sure kimbo has some ground skills by now. no where near the level of a top fighter but i'm sure he can hold his own. i'm with nate right now, i just want to see him fight brawlers and take it to them.

In due time my friend in due time. Why is everyone wanting Kimbo to fight a grappler or a submission artist? The wouldnt even be exciting to watch. The fans love the KO and Kimbo delivers. Down the road after Bas has worked on Kimbos overall game then yes i say give it a shot, but not now. There is no point. Get over it!

The fact is Kimbo is a fighter which is unafraid of any man. With that said he has fought nobody and that includes Tank. Tank is a disgrace and should never be allowed to fight again for money because in modern day he is an overweight, out-of-shape, dilusional bum who basically swindeled the MMA world into thinking he would take this fight seriously. As far as Kimbo his fate will be the same as Brock Lesnars when he fight a quality MMA opponent. Notice the people he is currently fighting have zero grappling skills thats because Kimbo has none as well. Reality is in MMA a majority of the time a grappler will win against a banger/striker such as Kimbo. The key is to be an well-rounded fighter that has great striking, defense and grappling skills, which again kimbo has only shown us striking. I enjoy watching Kimbo but please put him in there against someone with at least SOME skills!!!

Its off the subject but I don't see why Anderson would commit to that move before beating Henderson. If he dominates Henderson they yeah, do it. But he is perfect for MW in my opinion.

Kimbo does love to fight and I saw that back when he was doing back yard brawls. Bas is really good for Kimbo. He says he is a natural and hypes him up. But in this interview he doesn't talk smack about how Kimbo can beat anyone. He outlines how Kimbo needs to progress before they can challenge a top fighter.
