By CagE | November 1, 2007

EliteXC president Gary Shaw held a telephone press conference Wednesday to promote EliteXC 3 Renegade. Shaw addressed issues about Kimbo’s next opponent and the future of EliteXC. Here are some key points I found interesting in the audio of the press conference.

Now these guys know how to put on a show. They have a ring girl squad that dances in their shows and they have hotties standing behind them during their press conferences. That’ll keep the attention.

Its about time somebody signs Barnett. He has been a free agent since UFC boght pride. They should definitely sign him. That would be a huge skill increase for the EliteXc. He would probally be the highest skill fighter they have if they sign him. I dont care too much for the real lightweight divisions. They just dont get me going. I want to see big guys that have power throw punches not lightweights. And I think kimbo will knock Cantrell right out. And i thought he would be having a good oponent. Not some washed up bitch who cant even maintain a 51% win record. And they will never sign Fedor or Randy. The only way the could if ever is if they got Barnett. There would be nobody else to fight if they signed by themselves.

Agreed, Steve. EliteXC needs to step up their game and find Kimbo some real fighters. They need to sign “The Pitbull” Arlovski. Now that would be a real fight. Or once UFC dumps Tim Silvia, then we could have Silvia-Kimbo.
