EliteXC News: Kimbo Slice to Face Mike Bourke On Nov. 10

According to The Fight Network, Kimbo Slice will not be taking on Tank Abbott after all, instead he will be fighting Mike “The Rhino” Bourke (8-11-1) on Nov. 10. “The Rhino” has only ONE win in the last FIVE years, fighting mostly in KOTC and GC.
I don’t know what EliteXC is thinking, if they want people to respect Kimbo, they need to give him semi-decent fighters.

Hmmm…. how about we set up a fan base for this guy by feeding him some fodder for his trademark vicious assaults?… and that will give him time to develop somewhat of a ground game,… then a PPV vs. a major opp? Marketing, marketing Marketing!

Kimbo sounds like a bitch! I have seen him fight one average to poor MMA fighter and lose. Everyone knows why the Tank Abbot fight did not happen. Kimbo would simply get end the end “prison style.” Nobody wants to see a muscular black guy get is taint handed to him by a chuncky white guy. Another reason Kimbo is dodging Tank is that he would get beat at his own game. Nobody wants to trade hands with a guy that can bench over six hundred pounds. Kimbo is all juiced up and he still aint shit compared to tank.

This is true. I have seen damage Kimbo can do, and Tank was at one time superior, but I don’t know now.

Kimbo is a clown. There is no question he is ducking an admittedly washed up Tank. If Kimbo wanted to make good on his mouth re: Tank, it would happen. Instead, EliteXC picks him up for a few bottle caps and shiny beads and he uses that as an excuse to bail on the Tank bout.
It is claimed Kimbo is 33 — he may be somewhat older. His shelf life may not be any better than his limited MMA skill set.
FULL credit to Kimbo for his internet self promoting on YouTube, but let’s face it: the dude is scard to stand up to real competition

kimbo has fought nothing gut wannbe ufc guys,with the exception of an old out of shape ray mercer who looked like he didn’t want to fight. i say lesner vs. slice.

wow u guys really dont know what ur talking about. Tank abbot has lost more fights than he has won!! So why would kimbo be scared of him. Thats a joke. And tank was only decent when UFC started out and the skill level was very low. So to be honest Tank was never any good. And also his gas tank is on empty when he eneters the ring. He has the worst cardio I have ever seen. Kimbo is not a great fighter but to say he is ducking tank?LMAO ppl. If lesnar and kimbo fought Lesnar would take him down and pound the fuck out of him for the W in the first Rd. Kimbo couldnt handle lesnars power and wrestling skills.

That’s what I’ve been saying. I’m not praising Tank, we need guys like him out of pro MMA and in bouncer chairs and security jackets where they belong. I’m also not praising Kimbo for the same reason. When you join a football team, learn the playbook. It may be too late for that in both cases, so I’m not sad about missing it.

tank woudn’t have lasted 2 minutes anyway. I saw his fight at cage rage against gary turner, he got stopped and before he even stood up he had a beer in his hand. not my idea of a true athlete. As for kimbo i have seen his street fights and he does hit hard and he is training with bas rutten so i guess he is taking this seriously.
