Dope Report: Morton Tests Positive For Steroids

By CagE | June 13, 2007

Morton gets suspended MMA

According to the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC), former NFL football player Johnnie Morton, tested positive for steroids in his pre-fight drug screening at the Dynamite USA show. As reported earlier, Morton refused to take the post-fight drug test, so the CSAC suspended his fight purse of $100,000 till the matter could be resolved.

“very elevated T/E ratio, which is testosterone. And that is 83.9 — the normal industry standard for an athlete is 6.”
“that is consistent with anabolic steroid use.”

Morton is now given 10 days to request a hearing on the allegations. He could face a suspension of his fight license and up to a $2500 fine.

Morton, making his mixed martial arts debut, was knocked out in 38 seconds during his fight with Bernard Ackah at the Dynamite USA show and had to be removed from the ring on a stretcher.

I still cant believe this guy got paid 100 thousand dollars to get knocked out in 30 seconds. Maybe he will take his earnings, minus his fines, and walk away because he was terrible.

Wow…with an 84 rating, he probably had more steroid than blood in his system.
