Dope Report: Melvin Guillard Suspended And Fined For Positive Test

The Nevada State Athletic Commission today penalized Melvin Guillard for testing positive for cocaine after his fight with Joe Stevenson at UFC Fight Night 9. Guillard who admitted that he had used cocaine six days prior to the fight was suspended for eight months and was fined $2,100 out of his $7,000 fight purse. Gillard stated that he thought cocaine only stayed in you system for 72 hours and he would have no problem passing a drug test six days later. Melvin Guillard is the only MMA fighter to ever test positive for cocaine in the state of Nevada
