Diego Sanchez Dropping To Lightweight, Again?
By CagE | December 4, 2008
Still licking his wound after parting ways with former UFC ring girl Ali Sonoma, Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez (19-2) announced on his Myspace page that he will finally make the move to the UFC 155lb. division. Diego has been flirting with the possibility of the drop ever since being overpowered by Jon Fitch at UFC 76.
Diego Sanchez:
I’m back. I’m training hard and will be dropping down to fight at 155. I will keep you all posted on the info of the fight! But I promise you all that I will do my best to win.

i think this is the best thing diego could have done for his career. i think he will tear through a lot of the 155ers. he’s a good welter weight but he is just way smaller than people like Gsp, alves, and fitch.

I don’t think he’ll have as much of a speed advantage anymore but he will have a lot of power for that division.
