I agree I like this season. All of the fights have been good so far. Junie is a dumb ass. I’m glad they have alcohol because you get to see what guys don’t have it upstairs. But the UFC should give them something, an hour of TV, something else to do. They drive them crazy with nothing to do then have alcohol so of course their going to act a fool.

Yeah, Ryan, agreed. Junie certainly pushes the limits and his personality clearly rubs people the wrong way. I don’t like his poor attitude, his clownish antics, or his arrogance. But, it makes for interesting television. That type of behavior is what draws ratings, which is why the have designated so much screen time to him. I think Junie is the type of person who gives mixed martial arts a bad name. His lack of respect, lack of class and overall classless demeanor hurts the sport. Dana White should be protecting the UFC from guys like this, but I guess ratings come first.

However though, Jordan, a lot of people do not have any interest in seeing Junie in the house. Good fighter, but an extremely aggrivating personality. Sometimes too aggrivating to watch on tv. But you are right, his name is the one that always comes up in discussion about the show, and maybe that’s all he needs. And I don’t know, I’m not sure he was talking about Junie when he made that quote. When I heard it, I immediately thought of Silva’s standup, which I don’t think Junie’s is that great. There was someone else I had my eyes on to fill those shoes, but I don’t remember what his name was. Junie also seems like the cocky type of idiot that would say if he won or not in the interview reguardless of the confidentiality agreement. Or at least he would make it much more obvious than saying “I did really good” without actually saying he won.

Miko is absolutely right…before the season even began, Dana White was quoted by numerous news outlets for saying, “there is a lightweight who fights like Anderson Silva…” insinuating potential TUF champion Junie’s potential.

At the end of the day, the UFC is a business. And if Junie is as talented as the hype would lead us to believe, than it shouldn’t be a surprise that Dana allows him to stay aloft.

In truth, it’s not about who behaves. It’s not about who remains classy. It’s literally about whose the best fighter and who attains the most fan support. And as of now, Junie seems to do so…regardless of behavior.
