Dana White “I love to have Andrei Arlovski back, I bring him back today”

By CagE | October 24, 2008

“He is a good guy … In nine years, Andrei Arlovski is the only guy I ever lost. Every other guy that’s left, I wanted him to leave or we didn’t want him anymore … Andrei Arlovski is a real man … I love to have Andrei Arlovski back, I bring him back today … When thing were going south, and he felt disrespected and felt we did to the right things with him, Lorenzo and I jumped on a plain and immediately flew to Chicago and tried a fix it with him and we couldn’t. It bums me out.”

said UFC President Dana White on a recent Tapout Radio Show. By the amount of times Dana White said Andrei Arlovski is “A real man” during the show, he must be really itchin to get the highly promotable fighter back under UFC contract.

Yeah, Arlovski seems like the only guy that has left the UFC that should still be there cause he’s still good. Guy’s like Tito can leave cause they don’t win anymore.

If you listen to the interview it sounds like Dana is going to make a play for him if he beats Fedor.

see focus on all the good things about the pitbull, fangs, mouthpiece, no need for anger just good mma times, so angry……

andre makes more than 1 million per fight at affliction. that’s more money that all the total money he has ever made in the ufc.

andre had the coolest pitbull mouthpiece fangs.

i feel like crocop should come back to the US and fight. no one is giving him any respect over there where he is fighting in the japan… where the competition is easier. alistair overeem just whooped his ass before crocop said he couldn’t continue.

Why would he come back to the UFC when he is having 1 mil paydays at Afflication? Dana benched him for a long time, like a year, I think he’s done with the UFC.

I think if Dana wanted to, he could throw a good deal at Arlovski.

Yeah, I always thought he was a really good fighter. I have a friend that used to fight out of POW and he has rolled with Arlovski and says he is really good. You don’t see him on the ground too much though.

    October 24th, 2008 at 11:45 am

Hey Derek you must be kidding . compettion in japan is much harder than in the US, apparently you have’nt tuned in. the gran Prix semi finals you fight twise against top fighters. where do you think Rampage , silva , shogun , Andreson silva etc. came from.

  14. Tim Says:
    October 24th, 2008 at 12:11 pm

I would have to agree..the rules and the way they do things over there are much harder competion wise.

why did dana put him on the undercard in his last ufc fight if he had this much respect for him?

  16. kom34 Says:

arlovski is getting a whole lot more respect with his fights in affliction. he’s getting a lot more money. unless that company falls apart then he won’t care about the ufc.

golden boy is pulling their contract with affliction. i’m glad we dont have to watch boxing with mma together, but affliction could have used the finance.

i don’t think Arlovski will have a chance to win against Fedor. Fedor took only 36 sec to defeat Sylvia. Arlovski loses to Sylvia by two fights. But I think this will be an interesting fight to see.

ryan S thats tight ur friend rolled with arlivski but of course he said he is tough. he’s one of the best in the world. if he didnt totally school ur friend it would be a disgrace lol

  19. Ryan S Says:
    October 25th, 2008 at 5:11 am

He said he caught Arlovski ONCE (stupid mistake), but then he payed for it. Said after that, Arlovski wiped the floor with him. He only rolled with him once though.

he could not even dominate Tim Sylvia .. i just dont think hes a great fighter .. not that hes all that bad ..he dont totally suck but his fights just seem boring … the last few times i saw him fight he was boring as shit .. i almost put him in the same category as Brandon Vera .thats why he was put on the undercard of the ufc thing fedor wiped Sylvia’s ass and the bit bull got but fucked by sylvia in two fights so come’on … everyone thouht Tim was all that in the beginning..now where is he on peoples list ?

I think it’s hard to find a HW with Arlovski’s speed. He’s a really good heavyweight. I can’t wait to see how he compares to Fedor.

  22. Naco21 Says:
    October 25th, 2008 at 11:45 am

Orlovski was looking ridiculously hard to beat until Tim KO’d him. After that he just hasnt been the same. He lost that egde he had in there first fight. Still think he’s one of the top HW’s out there though.

  23. T.R. Says:
    October 25th, 2008 at 12:16 pm

Fedor destroyed tim silvia after rocking him with a big punch and then submission. But that was the first time tim fought fedor (and only time). Keep in mind the first time AA fought tim he did the same thing to him. AA rocked him with a huge shot and then cranked his leg for a tapout. In the 2nd fight aa rocked tim again and tim in my opinion got a lucky hard shot in that dropped aa. In the third fight aa and tim were both very cautious. So because in mma anything can happen I think this fedor and aa fight could be much more interesting than ppl think. I don’t think that we can judge this fight based off of fedors ONLY fight with tim and Aa last 2 fights with tim.

if big country can control arlovski on the ground i shudder to think of what fedor can do to him. i hope im wrong cuz i like arlovski but if it hits the ground i dont see how he could come out on top

  25. zalbag Says:
    October 25th, 2008 at 5:07 pm

There are two Andrei’s sometimes he shows up big time and other times, he looks terribly unmotivated and he is a train wreck. If the good andrei shows up maybe he will make it deep into the 2nd. Lets be serious though unless Fedors athleticism has really started to diminish this is just a slightly bigger notch in his belt. I hope that he runs through Andrei the more tough opponents he destroys the more likely it is that he fights some of UFC’s finest or lack there of…
