The UFC will likely head back to New Jersey for UFC 111. No date or location have been finalized, but the show is expected to take place at the newly remodeled Prudential Center Arena in Newark, New Jersey.

Rumors have been running wild for weeks that Kimbo Slice will be fighting Houston Alexander sometime in December, possibility at the TUF 10 Finale on Dec. 5 from The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. Here’s some more proof that this fight is not a myth.

• Houston Alexander announced on his Nebraska Radio show (Power 106, Sunday Night Raw), the that a fight between the two is in the works, but has since kept tight lipped.
• Kimbo Tweeted,
  His first mistake was saying “I Accept”
• Houston Alexander is on the schedule for re-license by Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) at the Nov. 4th meeting.
• No “Will Kimbo get a second chance” commercials on Wednesdays TUF.

Does Kimbo Slice take on Houston Alexander at the TUF 10 Finale on Dec. 4th? I think theirs a high probability that these two fighter will meet by the end of the year.

Then the big question is at what weight: light heavyweight, heavyweight or a catch weight? I know Kimbo is not the biggest heavyweight, but will he be able to cut down to 205lbs?

Yoshihiro Akiyama (13-1) spilled the beans at a press conference Tuesday in Japan. He will be fighting Wanderlei “The Axe Murder” Silva (32-10-1) in February, possibly in the main event at UFC 111 in Sydney, Australia.

Akiyama aka “Sexyama” made his UFC debut at UFC 100, winning a controversial split decision against Alan Belcher. The fight earned him a 100k “Fight of the Night” bonus for his performance.

Fan favorite Wanderlei Silva will look to get back on track after going 1-6 in his last seven fights.

UFC President Dana White confirms that Mike Swick will take on Dan Hardy for the top UFC welterweight contendership spot. The winner will likely get a shot a Georges St. Pierre sometime in 2010.

White told FanHouse that the Swick-Hardy matchup is not yet finalized, but expects to make it official shortly. He made no indication as to which event will host the bout, but UFC 105 seems like the logical choice as both Hardy and Swick have recently spent time in training camps.

UFC President Dana White react to the announcement of Strikeforce Fedor Emelianenko vs Brett Rogers on CBS.

Former UFC light heavyweight champion Quinton Rampage Jackson lands the role of BA Baracus on the upcoming A-Team movie. He apparently beat out rappers The Game Ice Cube and 50 Cent for the role once carried by Mr. T.

If all go’s well (no more high speed chases down LA freeways), Jackson will be the first MMA star to land such a high profile role in a movie. This is no “Never Surrender”, the A-Team movie is being set up as a blockbuster. Filming has already begun in Canada and is expected to be released sometime next year.

MTV debunks the rumor,

Proving yet again that at least some of the folks at UK tabloid The Sun are lying liars, MTV has confirmed that UFC champ Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has not been cast as B.A. Baracus in the coming big screen adaptation of “The A-Team.” I’m not even going to link to the story, as these jokers don’t deserve the traffic.

What I CAN tell you is that I reached out to Jackson’s publicist who checked with the fighter’s manager, as Jackson himself is currently on hiatus. The response? “His manager said it wasn’t true.” Move along people. There’s absolutely nothing to see here.

Jason Mayhem Miller is claiming that he is fighting for the Strikeforce Interim middleweight championship against Jake Shields in October. Doesn’t he fight Ronaldo Jacare Souza for the DREAM middleweight belt at DREAM.11 on Oct. 6?

Strikeforce has been tight lipped bout its plans for its next event. It is expected that Fedor Emelianenko will make his Strikeforce debut in November, so unless that show takes place in late October, it is unlikely that Strikeforce will try to squeeze in an October show.

TUF 2 winner Joe Stevenson will likely take on mma veteran Spencer Fisher at UFC 104 on Oct. 24th from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.

A source close to the event today told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) the lightweight fight is not official but that bout agreements are in the process of being finalized.

Conflicting reports have surfaced about Fedor Emelianenko’s status with the UFC. First the LA Times “UFC finalizing deal”,

A long-awaited agreement between the Ultimate Fighting Championship and the man considered the world’s best mixed martial arts fighter, Fedor Emelianenko, is expected to be announced by UFC President Dana White on Friday, a source with information about the negotiations told The Times today.

The source, who asked not to be identified because he’s not authorized to speak publicly about the dealings, called negotiations between the UFC and Fedor “very civil” just days after Fedor’s scheduled Affliction Trilogy fight Saturday against Josh Barnett was canceled.

The UFC is expected to hold a Press Conference on Friday.

Second, M-1 Global claims otherwise,

“I can give you a guarantee it’s not accurate,” said Apy Echteld of M-1 Global, a St. Petersburg, Russia-based promotion and management company of which Emelianenko is an equity stakeholder. [SI]

Fedor is expected to hold a press conference Wednesday in California, hopefully it will shed some light on this mess.
