The worlds most dangerous man, Ken Shamrock has tested positive for steroids following his fight with Ross Clifton at Wargods show on Feb. 13th. The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) announced the news that Shamrock tested positive for three banned substances – Norandrosterone, Noretiocholanolone, and Stanozolol.

The commission has suspended Shamrock for ONE year and fined $2,500. In addition, his fight with WWE superstar Bobby Lashley at Roy Jones Jr. “March Badness” on March 21st is now off.

Shamrock manager Rod Donohoo denies his fighter was juicing:

“Ken was taking legal over-the-counter products, and based upon our preliminary research, I’m investigating if those products were the result of these findings … Ken is willing to submit to immediate testing in Sacramento to prove his innocence,”

Kirill Sidelnikov aka “Baby Fedor” has tested positive for the anabolic steroid Stanozolol following his Affliction 2 “Day of Reckoning” loss to Paul Buentello.

Sidelnikov has been handed a one year suspension from fighting and a $2500 fine by the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC).

Sidelnikov was slapped around for three rounds by Paul Buentello, before the referee was forced to stop the fight in the third round at Affliction “Day of Reckoning”.

Not wanting to miss any training time leading up to “Day of Reckoning,” Kirill followed the advice of a coach not affiliated with M-1 who gave him a nose spray commonly used in Russia to help treat some of his symptoms. It is M-1’s belief that the nose spray is what contained the Stanozol.

For those that are skeptical of this explanation, we believe Kirill’s account is true based in large part to his physique. If he had been using large amounts of Stanozol on a regular basis, we believe that the frame of his upper body would have contained leaner muscle that had more definition.

While we do not believe the use of a nose spray provided Kirill with an unfair competitive advantage, we are obviously very disappointed in his lapse of judgment. Even though it was only a common nose spray that he used to treat an injury, an athlete must take full responsibility for what he puts into his system at all times. While we are not citing youth as an excuse, we feel we need to offer the public an explanation and we attribute the mistake in part to the fact that Kirill is just 20-years of age.

TMZ has learned the famously tatted MMA badboy was arrested by Tustin police Monday afternoon after they spotted the 6′3″, 235 lb fighter wearing a Long Beach Police Dept. jumpsuit, complete with patches and a cloth badge — a badge only cops are allowed to wear. The officers — the real officers — then searched Kimo’s ride, where they claim to have found “a small amount of what is believed to be meth.”

Leopoldo (10-7-1) started his MMA career at UFC 3, losing by first round armlock to legend Royce Gracie. The 41 year old fighter has not fought since 2006.

Beyond the strange behavior, Leopoldo had recently applied to be an Executive Officer of the California State Athletic Commission.

Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) executive director Keith Kizer, announced that Karo Parisyan tested positive for three different painkillers following his fight with Dong Hyun Kim at UFC 94. The post-fight urine test showed Parisyan had the opiates Hydrocodone, Oxymorphone, and Hydromorphone in his system.

Parisyan initially claimed he told the commission of the prescriptions before the fight, but later changed his story and admitted he notified them after the fight.

“I did not even think about any of that stuff … I was just thinking about my fight, and my anxiety and how I’m going to walk in the cage. I had so many problems in my head. I didn’t even think I should write – I was just doing it fast, fast, fast, just to get out there and weigh in and fight. I completely forgot about all this stuff.

“When he asked me after the fight, my mind was calm, my body was calm, and I was thinking about the urine test. They say I didn’t say it before, and I know that’s my mistake. They can’t hold that against me. I didn’t kill anybody. I even told the main guy. He said, ‘Karo, as long as you didn’t take anabolic drugs, or cocaine, or any of that crazy stuff, you should be fine as long as you’ve got the prescription.’”

Parisyan is currently suspended until his hearing with the NSAC next Tuesday.

Parisyan is penciled in to face Josh Koscheck at UFC 98, May 23 in Las Vegas.

The California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) has announced that EliteXC heavyweight champion Antonio “Big Foot” Silva has tested positive for the anabolic steroid Boldenone following his win over Justin Eilers at “EliteXC Unfinished Business“.

Silva, an American Top Team fighter will must serve a 12 month suspension and pay a $2500 fine in order to obtain a fighting license.

Bad news for EliteXC who will have to decide whether to strip Silva of the heavyweight title or just wait around one year for him to defend the title. With EliteXC’s weak heavyweight division, it is a hard to speculate what they will do, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kimbo wearing the belt someday soon.

Edwin Dewees, who last competed on the Roy Englebrecht Promotions event sponsored by Affliction on July 19 in Anaheim, has tested positive for Nandrolone. His test level was finalized at 499 ng/mL. Independent tests were conducted by Quest Diagnostics for the “A” Sample and Laboratoire De Controle Du Dopage for the “B” Sample. He has been suspended for one year retroactive to the conclusion of the bout and fined $2,500.

The Ultimate Fighter 4 cast member has apparently tested positive for the anabolic steroid Nandrolone following his loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at “Affliction Banned“. Deweese will be suspended for one year and must pay a fine of $2,500 in order to be issued a license to fight again. This is one of two fighters the CSAC is expected to announce today that have tested positive for a banned substance.

The California State Athletic Commission has suspended WEC featherweight Alexandre “Pequeno” Nogueira for testing positive for Boldenone following his performance at WEC 34 which took place June 1 at the ARCO Arena in Sacramento, CA.

Nogueira will have to serve a one year suspension and pay a $2500 fine before being eligible for reinstatement by the CSAC. He will have have an opportunity to appeal the ruling.

Boldenone is commonly used as a horse steroid in veterinary medicine. The Ultimate Fighter veteran Stephan Bonner and Kit Cope of MTV fame, were also busted for the use of this steroid in 2006.

On Monday, the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) reinstated former UFC lightweight Champion, Sean Sherk’s, following a six month suspension for steroids (Nandrolone).

Sherk was eligible for reinstatement on January 7, but didn’t pay his fine of $2500, until Monday.

Sherk was suspended following his fight with Hermes Franca at UFC 73 “Stacked” in July of last year. His lightweight title was later striped by the UFC and later won by BJ Penn at UFC 81, with a dominating win over Joe “Daddy” Stevenson.

This clears him to seek his tile back from BJ Penn at UFC 84 “Ill Will” on May 24 in Las Vegas.

According to MMAPredictions, The Nevada State Athletic Commission has voted to have the former UFC lightweight champion, Sean Sherk take an additional drug test, almost a month prior to is title fight with UFC lightweight champion BJ Penn at UFC 84 on May 24th in Las Vegas.

the NSAC has voted to require Sherk to present himself for an additional drug and steroid test during the week of April 21st.

The test is clearly intended to prevent Sherk from cycling off the ROIDS, which is a tactic that many steroid users use to test clean.
