Paul Daley, welterweight Cage Rage Champion and standout Pro Elite fighter has announced on the Cage Worriers message-boards, that he will be retiring following his fight at March 29 EliteXC-Strikeforce co-promoted event featuring Cung Le vs. Frank Shamrock.

Daley who impressed at the latest ShoXC: Elite Challenger Series” event in Atlantic City, N.J., knocking out Sammy Morgan with a fierce elbow in the first round.

This is for the fighters, fans, promoters and trolls alike.

As of now i will be stepping down as Cage Rage Champion (British and world), FX-3 Champion and KOTR champion. I vacate all these titles. Futher more i consider my self retired (from all MMA/Thai boxing) as of March 29th. March 29th i will fullfill my contracted commitment for Pro Elite, against a yet un named opponent.

No speculation, No futher annonucments, once i’ve found the path i originally set out on in the Martial Arts, i may return to this SPORT, Maybe 6months-Maybe 6 years, who knows.

Who will be the next welterweight CRC champ. FX-3 champ????…

CageRage today announced the return of Ken Shamrock at Cage Rage 25 “Bring It On” on March 8. The UFC veteran will face Robert “Buzz” Berry for his first fight on his freshly inked EliteXC contract. Here is the clip:

Shamrock spent many years competing in wrestling until one day in 1993 he stumbled across an advert in a popular American martial arts magazine calling for experts in martial arts to compete in a no holds barred bare knuckle tournament . From there the legend of Ken Shamrock was born, Ken went on to compete many times over the years and has a Sherdog record 26-12-2. Ken has headlined many fighting events all over the World and now he will be making his first visit to London’s famous Wembley Arena where he look to excite an expectant crowd.

EliteXC News: Ken Shamrock and Son Ryan Shamrock Ink Deals

According to ProElite.com, UFC veteran Ken Shamrock and his son Ryan Shamrock have signed a multi-fight contract with EliteXC. The father and son duo will debut under the EliteXC promotion at Cage Rage 25 on March 8 from the Wembley Arena in London, England.

I think I am more excited than nervous about fighting on the same card with my dad. If anything, it gives me more incentive. I get the chance to show that there is another Shamrock out there who can compete as well as he can.
