Mayweather caught Hatton with a counter as he was coming in, it dropped him and unfortunately for him…he went head first into the Corner padding for an extra blow on the way down. That’s going to make the Sportscenter highlight reel and worst yet, Mayweather probably got a bigger ego tonight, if thats possible.

I hate mayweather so much. He is a punch and move kind of guy scared to get hit. There is only one guy that can stop him from retiring and thats Miguel Cotto. With Oscar not wanting a rematch with Mayweather anytime prolly never. So my oly hope at seein mayweather knocked out is either in a real fight or in a ring against Cotto.

you know, before tonight, i thought the top 3 guys that can beat mayweather were hatton, cotto, and mosley. i thought hatton had the best chance, and now, it is quite depressing. cotto is still pretty mediocre, though he does everything well. mosley only has speed and some power, but again, i don’t think he can beat PBF.

I’m with you guys. I was excited when hatton went in for some dirty boxing, which I wanted De la Hoya to do. it worked in the early rounds but in the end Mayweather dominated Hatton. Really disappointing that Mayweather got what he wanted from this fight. Hatton is a trooper and I give him respect for coming inside with Mayweather, but 17 percent hit rate wont do jack for a guy like that.

i think it was the ring pole that knocked hatton out. floyd through the left hook, but upon seeing the replay, it was clear hatton slipped as he was off balance. left hook landed and hatton’s head went into the pole… then fell backward.

Hatton did a nice faceplant into the corner padding before going down.

Hatton put on a good fight in the early rounds. I think the ref spoilt the fight a little by not letting hatton fight inside for more than 3 seconds. Mayweather out classed him later in the fight to prove he is the better boxer but he is still pound for pound the biggest asshole on the planet.

I don’t get why ppl dont like Mayweather. Boxing is not a game for softies - u do your fighting outside the ring as well as in, u talk trash to psych your opponents out, and when u know u r seriously that good, why shouldnt u have an ego? The man thinks he’s so good, but when has it been proven that he’s wrong? 39-0 speaks for itself. Boxing is not about punching - it takes planning, strategy, skill and mental toughness. So if he’s too smart to get caught in a brawl, or the others are not smart enough to trap him, then why not just give credit where its due. I personally am sick of boxers with no personality that r killing the sport.
