Boxing News: Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Ricky Hatton

Tonight is the LIVE PPV boxing event Floyd Mayweather Jr. (38-0) vs. Ricky Hatton (43-0) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Ricky Hatton an English fighter fighting out of Greater Manchester, England. Hatton hold wins over Kostya Tszyu, Carlos Maussa and Jose Luis Castillo.
Mayweather holds the WBC, IBO and IBA welterweight belts and is considered by many to be pound for pound the best welterweight in the world. Mayweather hold wins over Diego Corrales, José Luis Castillo x2, Zab Judahm and Oscar de la Hoya. Mayweather took this fight just 3 months after announcing his retirement.

it’s interesting becuase most polls (espn, cagetoday, fightnews) have hatton winning the fight. but oddly enough, floyd is heavily favored to win in the bets (bodog, etc.). maybe the betting peeps know something we don;t?

I think Mayweather is going to jab his way to another victory. He’s a great fighter but he’s not a finisher and thats why he doesn’t have more fanbase. Hatton has proven himself but I don’t think he can win Mayweather. Hatton already said he is going to retire next year when he turns 30.

Somebody needs to tell Mayweather that you can’t try to talk humble and give thanks to people when you refer to yourself in the 3rd person all the time and say how “special” you are. He goes from thanking people to saying how everything he has is because of himself. I hope Hatton plugs his mouth tonight with his boxing glove.
