Bodog Getting Out Of The Fight Game?

By CagE | April 5, 2008

bodog fight girls

According to a report in the print addition of the Wrestling Observer newsletter, BodogFight might be exiting MMA as fast as they came in.

After losing a reputed $38 million last year, Bodog appears to be on its last legs according to a report in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. Most of the company’s employees have been let go, there are no events planned (although they are sponsoring some smaller events), there is no new TV deal, and a recently proposed small budget (with the idea of slowly rebuilding) by Jeff Osborne was turned down.

I was never impressed with the Bodog productions and laughed at the fact that the President was openly talking trash about his events being better than the UFC’s, and how he was a better president than Dana White.

I only watched BoDog twice. The little fighter spotlight videos were so lame I couldn’t take it. It was like they got a reject from eHarmony to produce them.

I think you guys are missing the larger point, how the hell did they lose $38 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! Did you guys watch any of those fights. I’m sure they weren’t paying the majority of their fighters anything substantial. The production value for their events was pretty shoddy. Maybe the advertising with the tanks was really expensive?
