Anthony Johnson to Rematch Kevin Burns At The TUF 8 Finale
By CagE | September 26, 2008
After the disaster call by referee Steve Mazzagatti at UFN 14 “Silva vs. Irvin”, Anthony Johnson (5-2) will get the instant rematch to avenge his lost to Kevin Burns (7-1) at The Ultimate Fighter 8 Finale set for 13th.
The first fight between the two ended in controversy, when referee Steve Mazzagatti stopped the fight after a thumb poke to the eye of Johnson was ruled a knockdown instead of an illegal strike.
Johnson petitioned the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) to overturn the decision, but the call was upheld.
Sources close to both fighters today told MMAjunkie.com that the two competitors have agreed to the fight and that it will be finalized in the coming days.

i wouldn’t fight that guy again. it wasn’t just a fluke poke johnson got poked throughout the whole fight. he’ll probably get poked in the rematch too.

Tong po, i just wanted to say ur an idiot. if u got poked in the eye as many times as he did that fight ur ass would b cryin like a bitch. Johnson wasnt cryin he was pissed off. the dumbass ref should have DQ Burns for being such a pussy. and u cant call him a baby cause im sure he’d beat ur little ass. but mazzagatti is a terrible ref and he makes me sick. i lost $20 on that fight thanks to that idiot ref.
