Andrei Arlovski Could Sign with Affliction on May 19th

According to Josh Gross of SI.com, an expected announcement from Affliction on Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski’s possible signing with the promotion, is expected early next week.

May 19 is the day when Andrei Arlovski could sign with Affliction, SI.com has learned. That is, assuming the UFC declines to match what is believed to be a deal that pays the former UFC champion in the low-to-mid six figures for the first of three non-exclusive bouts.

A representative from Arlovski’s camp explained there was “nothing to report,” though continued on to say negotiations with the UFC were ongoing…Should Arlovski and Affliction complete their deal, the Belarusian is expected to appear at next Tuesday’s press conference at the in Century City, Calif., to announce a fight against former International Fight League heavyweight champion Ben Rothwell.

  1. nothing to report? that's definitely something. AA fighting ben rothwell will be a good fight. and getting paid 6 figures each for 3 fights will be awesome for AA, since he will finally get the payday he deserves. although i wanted to see mir – AA.

  2. Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski’s will beat ben rothwell and i hope he doesnt leave the ufc because he is the only good heavy weight fighter in there well him and nog..but the ufc has been a bitch to my boy AA so whatever

  3. Would be a shame to let a genuine contender walk out the door in what is still the prime of his career. DANA WAKE THE FUCK UP!!! Stop killing the heavyweight division.

  4. Scooby Doo says:

What's up with the match maker of the ufc !!! (Shit i've been laid-off I need a job what's up D. White) this should be a fight you see on the ufc ,but it looks like they will be loosing another top fighter like AA. WHAT the F@!#K D. White!! I guess Randy,Tim,Tito, and a few other fighters. What they're saying about the pay for fighters must be true? Now AA! might?? be leaving also ??? UFC u better wake up!(#3 Steveo)

  5. whodini says:

AA looked washed up in his last fights…he looked sad

against Slvia..looked sad in the last fight too.. maybe they see him as dead weight

  6. aa is gone, the ufc won't match what he can get from affliction. the best h.w.'s are not in the ufc now they have one top rated h.w. big nog and thats it.

  7. nog is over rated, all he's got is the armbar, AA is the only all around complete fighter, the UFC has left in the heavy"s, maybe brandon vera, but how much does he realy have to offer. If nog finds some cardio I might take back the over rated part.

  8. krage you must not know nog, he has no cario problem, aa is already gone and nog has alot more than a armbar, how is he overrated you must be talking from just watching his 2 ufc fights.

  9. I hope Arlovski pounds on Rothwell. Rothwell talks so much shit about how he is better than the fighters in the UFC so now's his chance to prove it or STFU.

  10. dane drebin says:

krage i disagree with u entirely how does nog only have an armbar? he is one of the best bbj practitioners in mma. his last fight he won by choke not armbar. the guy is known for lasting through horrible punishment for many round and then commin back and submitting his opponent. if there was a rope and dope in mma nog would have invented it lol. he's like the ali of the ground. im not saying he's the best ali lost to people im just saying you should give hime the respect he deserves

  11. dane drebin says:

    i ment to right bjj

  12. Well said.

  13. Scooby Doo says:

So, who do they have mir, vera .Nog only has two fighters to fight one arm bar and rearneck choke thats it (#3 killing the heavywieght division!!!!!!) Brock is not ready, coleman is too old. AA should have been next and his last fight wasn't that sad. (whodini) he won by tko strikes. Oohh, wait they did him wrong and put him on the undercard.

  14. Scooby Doo says:
