Alistair Overeem Doesn’t Use PEDs, Just Testosterone Laced Meds

Alistair Overeem and his camp have been relatively silent after his testing fail with the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC). The Demolition Man breaks that silence by released this official statement explaining his side of the story ahead of his Tuesday hearing with the NSAC.

I absolutely do not believe in, nor do I use performance-enhancing drugs. I am a clean fighter and I will do whatever it takes to prove this to everyone.

Prior to the UFC 146 press conference in March, I aggravated an old rib injury on my left side. My doctor prescribed, and I accepted, an anti-inflammatory medication that was mixed with testosterone. I was completely unaware that testosterone was one of the ingredients in the medication. Although I was unaware, I do realize it is my job to know what I am putting into my body.

I respect the Nevada Commissioners and Executive Director Keith Kizer and what they are doing to keep
the sport of mixed martial arts regulated and safe for athletes. I look forward to working with them in the days and weeks ahead.

What do you think of Alistair’s excuse to a high T/E level? Valid or just another roided out fighter blaming his drug use on others?

  1. yeah right

  2. G.B.Hamerick says:

HaHaHa he said his doctor prescribed meds that had testerone included in the ingrediants. But he tested 14:1? those must be some really powerful meds for anti-inflamation. Man if this guy gets away with this it will just prove nsac is a joke. I suppose Diaz doctor prescribed medication(weed) is not justifiable in their eyes when he did not even test positive for THC.

  3. he cannot get away with this !! there is no way an anti inflammatory drug made his TE 14:1 normal testosterone replacement does not even get it that high. As i said in a previous post his final excuse will be he is so much more of a man then everyone else on the planet , of course his TE is so much higher. His own brother came out and said he didn't know why it would be so high.

  4. Should have gone with a tainted horse meat story. You just can't get good horse meat in the States.
