I don't buy the lucky shot excuse either. When a trained fighter throws a punch and lands I don't call that lucky. If it was some drunk at a bar i'd call it lucky.

Just like i wouldn't call a half court shot by Lebron James lucky. But if it was the guy from out of the stands at halftime then it would be called lucky.

Although I HATE matt sarah , I respect the work he has put in the gym. So i don't call his punch against GSP lucky.

I'd love to see Alex and Sergei Kharitonov both in the UFC. Although Alex has Sergei's number them fighting everyone else would be great.

I don't know if you can use those last 2 fights between tim and aa as a test to how aa will do with fedor. In aa's first fight with tim, He destroyed tim. He rocked him with some BIG shots and then submitted him in the 1st rd. Just like Fedor did in his 1st and only fight with tim. In aa's 2nd fight with tim he rocked him again and in my opinion tim landed a lucky shot as he was trying to recover that put aa out. Which Tim or anyone else could to to fedor on a bad night (land a lucky shot). In the 3rd fight with aa and tim they both were so hesitant of each others power that it was a boring ass fight.

So based off of aa's first fight with tim and fedors first and only fight with tim, it could be a great fight. BUT it's mma so Fedor could also drop him in 14 seconds. I'm gonna be excited for it regardless.

I think that aa will last longer than tim did for sure. He's improved and much for elusive and athletic than tim.

Fedor's brother Alex would be fun to see in the states, he was decent in pride but supposedly he has gotten much better. Most of red nose training camp is good, though I thought they were under contract with bodog.

This didn't have anything to do with money as the UFC offered more than the others. This had to do with the extras..... and nobody gets extras in the UFC

That interview is old. It's from july 2007 when negotiations were ongoing.

He also says the financial offer from the UFC was the most lucrative.

He also states that "The negotiations are still continuing, and we will try very hard to get our demands met, if not Fedor will simply not compete in the UFC, even though that will be unfortunate as they currently have one of the, if not the, strongest, heavyweight divisions in the world."
