After he beats Barnett, then what? He has to go to UFC and Affliction without Fedor is like EliteXC without Kimbo but Fedor is a real top fighter.

  7. Dave Says:

Dana White will never recover if he lets Fedor fight one of his four heavyweights (Mir, Lesnar, Couture, Noguera). Fedor will expose one of the UFC’s two weaknesses (Heavy’s and light weights)and White will have know choice but to whine about lucky punches or something. He has been in denial for so long, all of the Fedor bashing will just discredit him as more of a businessman than a talent scout. Hey, kinda like Don King!

  8. Tim Says:
    March 3rd, 2009 at 11:12 am

Do all not understand that Dana White is marketing genious? come on look where he has taken the UFC and look what he is setting himself up for if it does happen, Dana bad mouthing one the best HWGFHTS/fighters ever to fight in MMA where he could put him in a UFC fight against one of the UFC best HWGHTS think about the marekting potential and the money at hand just because Dana white opens his mouth and talks shit on Fedor…the money involved would be sick and possibly record breaking profits for the UFC. Dana may not like Fedor but he isnt stupid enough to think long term down the road and set himself up for what could be the most lucrative fight in MMA history.

have you watched fedor fight at all? He’s not god, but damn, some kind of supernatural freak or soemthing. If you think the experience of brock and fedor are even similar, or if they’ve been in similar situations, or if you see the need to compare them at all…you my friend are at the short end of the mma stick. Fedor’s been doing this most of his life, brock, 3 years. But I really do hope he gets into the ufc and we see that mega fight, if brock even keeps the belt.

gegard is fighting Babalu? Thats shit is gonna be awesome. I hope Gegard whips him. Al I completly agree with you on Lesnar. He wouldnt even have had a chance against Randy if he didnt get so huge off of steroids. Just look at him when he was in college. He wasnt a humongous man and as soon as he went to the wwe he got HUGE. Barry bond type growth. How has he won his fights? Over powering his opponent. Brocks stand up isnt great and his sub defense isnt good but he can wrestle. He will be able to lay on alot of ppl in the ufc because the UFC looks out for its favorite fighters. Like how they wouldnt let Jake O’Brien lay on AA(not saying I dont agree with standing them up) and how they stood up Cro Cop and Gonzaga. I like that they do these things to make us happy as fans but dont change the rules and fight in favor of a certain fighter because he is a huge cash cow. Fedor vs Brock = KO and the end of the brock is #1 band wagon. Dana knows this and he also knows that Fedor isnt going to sign under what terms the ufc wants. He doesnt have to either. The true mma fan knows that Fedor is hands down the best HW of all time. He can KO ppl or submit them.

i only watch ufc or wec ….when elite xc was on i watched that never really caught pride only replay’s …….. i just really think brock would beat fedor i’ve seen enough of fedor to see he’s not the best pound for pound.

  18. roy Says:
    March 17th, 2009 at 10:15 am

derek, you should try watching everything, there are a ton of great fights and fighters that you are missing.and if you think fedor is not impressive i don’t know what you are watching but whats not impressive about winning all of your fights.

  19. jake Says:
    March 17th, 2009 at 10:34 am

fedort is definatly impressive but I dont think that he would be able to handle the wieght and wrestling ability of brock, not to mention his striking

  20. Al Says:
    March 17th, 2009 at 10:53 am

hmm fedor fought hong man choi…who is bigger then brock and submitted him pretty quickly. But your right if they fight i believe brock would be the best wrestler fedor ever fought…i just don’t think this fight between lesnar/fedor will ever happen so i’m done torturing myself talking about it.

  21. jake Says:
    March 17th, 2009 at 10:59 am

yeah dana would never let fedor some in to the ufc to fight the top contender, haha his worst nightmare

  22. jake Says:

and brock is actually more than 10 lbs heveier

  23. roy Says:
    March 17th, 2009 at 11:15 am

10 lbs heavier than who? choi is about 330.i would not even consider lesnar ready for fedor till he beats more than 3 people.if he beats gabe carwin kongo than i think he is ready for fedor if he can’t beat them he is not ready.he has looked good so far but he has 3 wins i remember when houston and soko had 2 good wins and people where talking like they where the next champ.

  24. derek Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 12:34 am

roy good call watch a lot of fights but they say ufc heavyweight div sucks and AL would agree then why not have brock fight FEDOR because MIR will never fight baby face and we have all seen silva so wtf ….. there bis nothing elsee in heavyweight? right? am i wrong? mir vs fedor? i’d rather c brock and dont say couture

  25. steve Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 3:31 am

Hong Man Choi is 352 lbs not 330. LMAO Jake did u just say you dont know how Fedor is gonna handle Brocks striking???? Wow okay you obviously have never seen Fedor stand and bang. He would land 4 punches and drop Lesnar within the first minute just like he did to Tim S. who is a way better striker than Lesnar. Lesnar’s stand up is not good and if stands and bangs with anyone that has a good punch and knows what they are doing standing he is gonna be knocked out. Shane Carwin Gonzaga Kongo. Strong stand up fighters that will be able to avoid Lesnar from getting the takedown and laying on them then thats who will beat Lesnar. Carwin has a really god chance of beating him.

  26. roy Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 8:43 am

i think the ufc hw devision is getting better its just they are missing some of the top guys i would love to see fedor vs lesnar but i don’t know if it will ever happen.lesnar might be there best hw he just need a couple more wins to prove it and they won’t be easy.

  27. Tim Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 9:34 am

Anyone always has a good chance at beating anyone thats just how things happen some times and thats just MMA while others may have a slight edge or even pose a great threat there is always the chance factor that anyone can beat anyone at any given time somtimens its more unlikely than most though.

I too agree that Carwin would be a great match up for Lesnar but with all due respect i believe Lesnar is the overall better athlete and is far better conditioned to beat Carwin as that fight would basicalaly be a stand up wrestling match which Lesnar i think would win based upon his size and overall strength factor not that Carwin isnt big or strong as well but if you ever really compared them side by side Lesnar looks freakishly huge compared to Carwin even though there about the same size and weight although Carwin is like 255 and Lesnar is 280. Not to mention Carwin looks like a hunchback when he fights his back is rounded and his neck and face point out very bad posture and for somone with a 81inch reach advantage would tear him apart as in Lesnar. Even though Carwin has an 80inch himself the bad posture doesnt help and although i think this would be a great fight i believe that Brocks overal Size difference would be to much for Carwin to contain but anything can happen and i await this fight to occur if it ever does

  28. Tim Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 9:39 am

Roy i agree as well Lesnar already proved he belongs here but surely has along way to go and grow into a better fighter…Lesanr is surely one of the best and his next 3 fights and more will be very tough as i am sure if he gets by Mir than its either Carwin or Kongo, or Velasques in his next fights which wont be easy. I an waiting to see him truly tested, Randy tested him a bit but his overall size became to much for Randy, Brock will be facing bigger competition but i dont really see anyone that possesses his overal abilities as well the closest i think is Carwin but Carwin has major holes in his game for one being he fights hunchback style with his shoulders rolled forward at least i saw this a fee times in his fights, its just gets touger from here for Lesnar.

  29. Tim Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 9:40 am

Oh i too would love to See Fedor and Lesnar but that will never happen and if it did i wouldnt want it to happen for at least another 2 years so Brock can fully devolope his game plan alot more.

  30. jake Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 10:58 am

sorry guys i had wrong info about hon man choi… but if he is 7′1 350 then how did he lose his last fight to a low kick, dosent seem like much of a challenge to fedor. idk how you are comparing the two besides the fact that they are both relativly unexperienced, i think that in the next few years borck wil be able to beat fedor

  31. roy Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 11:31 am

i think carwin will be a good fight with lesnar but i agree with you lesnar is probally better i actually think gabe would be a tougher fight and if gabe and carwin fought 10 times gabe wins the majoirity of them.i think lesnar should beat mir with ease but aftet that he has some tough test depending on who they match him up with.

  32. bigchief Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 2:29 pm

the only way lesnar beats mir is using his ridiculous power… in no way is lesnar a better fighter. if there is a god, mir will prevail again.

but i think affliction 3 should look something like this:

    fedor vs. barnett
    arlovski vs. aleksander Emelianenko
    mousasi vs. belfort
    babalu vs. ortiz
    sylvia vs. overeem
    crocop vs. rothwell
    lil’ nog vs. sokoudjou

thats a good enough card to beat any UFC… and its possible to make happen too…

  33. Tim Says:
    March 18th, 2009 at 2:44 pm

I agree Roy, Lesnar should beat Mir but anything can happen and either way win or lose both Mir and Lesanr will be facing tougher competition and i am eager to see how the end of 2009 goes as last year brock was champ so lets see if he can keep it for the year.

  34. derek Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 2:29 am

i agree with all you but as the fight goes i can just see freak of ability ……….. devastating moves by brock in his next fight he’s hungry came out hungry first mma just over powering with control he will be domo….like shaq was in nba his free throw only downer cant even think brock has one now…..can be his stand up but because he shows he can trade then what?? fluke leg locks………..never again. i dont know just see future i guess

  35. KC Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 5:11 pm

WOW! What a card! Fedor and the last two UFC leftovers he beat down! Guess it will be TBD till the next UFC heavyweight loses their contract! Sylvia should just fight Arlovski again so they have the next PPV Fedor contender, just keep recycling. All these Fedor lovers are too much! Tell me who he’s fought cause I’m sick of hearing the you haven’t seen Fedor excuess…ummm you can watch all his fight on youtube or countless video sites, its 2009! Unless they can get someone they can hype like a Bobby Lashley, soon Affliction t-shirts will go out of style and Fedor will do biz with Dana White and he will have to fight Lesnar which will be the best PPV money ever! People really think Dana White wants to protect his fighters from Fedor??? He would glady let him beat down any of his fighters…that’s his business!!!
I THINK>>> Mir could beat Fedor and Lesnar is going to stomp Mir so what’s that tell you!
    Hate away!

  36. Luke Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 7:02 pm

Im not gonna hate because i kinda agree.
I understand Fedor is an amazing fighter and yes i have seen plenty of his fights, and hate on me too but i dont find him that exciting. He is a master strategist with excellent timing but i think there are some more exciting heavyweights to watch (Arlovski, Nog, Mir, Kongo) although they have or would probably lose to Fedor, in my opinion they are consistantly more exciting to watch and are more likely to give the paying customers what they want to see.
Arlovski brought the fight to Fedor and wanted to get an exchange going, but Fedor being the master strategist that he is kept away and landed that one sweet shot, which alerts back to his timing. Now as a ticket holder or someone who paid good money for PPV wouldn’t you want to see the best heavyweight in the world mix it up with a great fighter? Wouldn’t you think the invincable champion, the apparent ‘badest man on the planet’ would try and excite all these hundreds of thousands of people?
I hope he gets a great opponent, i hope he goes to the UFC and destroys everybody and proves me wrong.
    Hate away!

  37. steve Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 7:08 pm

Luke AA is a great fighter and if he was still in the ufc he would be top 5. He is top 10 in the HW division easily still.

  38. jack Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 7:12 pm

Fedor will probably beat Barnett but then there is no one left after that with Affliction fading. It would be a shame if the UFC could not sign this guy before he gets to old or retires as they have most of the best fighters in the world. When Affliction is done the UFC needs to bring in Fedor, and a rejuvenated Vitor Belfort.

  39. jack Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 7:15 pm

Arlovski is great too i agree but he could not even get by Tim Sylvia in their last 2 fights plus i believe he might have glass chin syndrome as he has been knocked out a few times in his career. What about Tito Ortiz?

  40. steve Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 8:07 pm

Ya his chin isnt made of granite thats a well known thing about AA. He still has the power to KO anyone and he can pretty much give anyone a run for their money. Losing to Tim Sylvia isnt a bad thing. Tim is good and people always say that he isnt because he doesnt look the part and such but he really is a great fighter. Tim is still top 10 and every big tough guy for the HW division is good for the sport as the ufc hw division is weak.

  41. steve Says:
    March 21st, 2009 at 8:08 pm

Tito will probally end up fighting Babalu. Which should be a good fight but I would be surprised to see Tito lose to him honestly.

  42. hiya Says:
    March 22nd, 2009 at 3:14 am

    Sylvia
    Sokoudjou
    Babalu
    Ortiz
    CroCop

I’ll admit i don’t keep up with too much mma other than ufc. I used to watch some pride, and I catch a few of the others here and there. The guys listed above all got chewed up and spit out by the ufc. Tito had an alright run, but by my score he lost the griffin fight (that was disgusting when they announced tito won). Crocop had a nice pride run, but all in all he couldn’t cut it in the ufc. Sylvia was good while everyone else sucked. then mir broke his arm. Babalu…..Did anyone watch his last fight vs chuck? He says right before the fight he’s gonna be smart and not rush in like everyone else. What does he do? You get my point. Sokoudjou won like 2 fights I think. Can’t quite remember. I’m just trying to say that card looks horrible. And if that is the best that affliction has to offer, then it sounds like the ONLY thing I’m missing is fedor. I’ll try and find some of his fights.

  43. roy Says:
    March 23rd, 2009 at 11:38 am

chewed up and spit out?the ufc tried to keep ortiz he left they kicked babalu out for holding a choke to long not because he sucked.soko was overhyped because he beat two tough guys but he is still young.tim lost to coulture nog and than fedor pretty tough line of fights.you guys can hate all you want till someone can actually beat fedor he is hands down the best.

  44. Tim Says:
    March 23rd, 2009 at 11:44 am

I have to agree i dont like Fedor all that much but you must respect his abilities as a fighter as of right now until someone beats him or even puts him through hell he is the best HWGHT fighter.

  45. Dave Says:
    March 23rd, 2009 at 12:13 pm

HIYA, you are definately just a casual MMA fan if you believe what you wrote. Real MMA fans watch more than just the UFC, but it seems like a lot of the guys who post on this message board are the same. ANyone who can’t admit that Fedor is not the most dominate P4P fighter in the world has got to be a casual, exclusively UFC watching fan. Some of you guys need to realize that just because Dana WHite can’t or hasn’t signed a guy, doesn’t mean that they aren’t better than most of the UFC guys in the same weight class.

  49. Pal Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 1:46 pm

I don’t know how someone could doubt Fedor. He has about 30 fights and has not been stopped. He has fought the “Brock Lesnar”s of the past. I don’t think he has even had a split decision. Name one fighter Pride or UFC that is at least 25-0 (I don’t count most of the others because they are usually fighters that were no good and went to a different fight circles). Even Anderson Silva I have seen been dominated in a fight and LOST(pride fight/ opponent was not even well known). The closest battle was when Fedor fought Fujita and was rocked, but he came back and choked Fujita out. Unfornutely people hear too much bullshit, and watch crappy utube videos. Brock Lesnar NEVER even Earned a title shot, 3-1 doesn’t give you a title shot. Buy some MMA dvds if you missed fights and do some research. See most people just see what is on cable and utube and make assumptions without knowing all the facts. For instance people still think Ken Shammrock is a good fighter, but honestly I think I’ve seen him lose a lot of fights even to smaller opponents. The bottom line is that anything can happen in MMA (yes Fedor can lose), but nobody comes close to Fedor right now. He might not be fancy but he is effective. When Anderson Silva or Brock Lesnar go like 30 fights without a loss fighting heavier fighters (app. 20-40lbs) then I will change my stance.

  50. Tim Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 3:14 pm

A few good points but how can you mock fighters such as Lesnar a rookie and compare him to Fedor and to not talk about them until they are 25-0 or something like it…come on Fedor has like 20 years of MMA combat training and what lesnar has 20 years wrestling it helps but he is no where near the caliber of a fighter skill set wise…athleticly gifted i hate to say this but Lesnar has most men today beat in the overall athletic ability area. Now Fedor is truly the best HWGHT out there but with all due respect he was fighting no names for a long time but i respect the mans ability to fight. Lesnar is a true athlete and like true athletes do they can train for anything and dominate at it where lesnar has, Now Lesnar didnt deserve his title shot but he never asked for it the UFC gave it to me for business reasons and i hate to say this but as much as we love MMA and love to see fair things happen business will always take over anything the more profit the better for the company as a whole. Anyways Lesnar is what 3 years into training now and is the UFC champ…the man certainly has area to work on and can only get better and that is the scarry part…he is getting better every day and is learning…Anything can happen in MMA and thats why i love it….

  51. Tim Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 3:18 pm

The only fight worth watching with Fedor is him and Barnett and that doesnt look likely since they dont want to fight eachother.

  52. Ryan S Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 3:31 pm

    Tim-

“Now Lesnar didnt deserve his title shot but he never asked for it the UFC gave it to me for business reasons and i hate to say this…”

What do you mean the UFC gave it to ME? Gave it to you? Hmmm. Now I get it!! Tim, YOU ARE LESNAR!!! It all makes so much sense now. How is it going, Brock? How is your training? What do you think about your fight coming up with Mir?

I’m just fucking with you Tim lol. Unless, you really are him…

  53. steve Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 5:12 pm

Tim lets be honest. The reason Lesnar is dominating people in the UFC is b/c he roided up like Barry Bonds to get to be a humongous muscle freak.Fedor has dominated through pure skill. He doesnt need to be 100 lbs heavier than his opponents to win. He doesnt have to be stronger and run faster or run more. Athletic abiltity doesnt mean you are the better fighter. Come on you saying Lesnar is better than Fedor ayt certain categories doesnt really matter. It comes down to the fact that Fedor doesnt lose. Fedor doesnt have to cut weight to fight at HW and he sure as hell hasnt bothered to try and cut down to 205 which would be like what Lesnar is doing.Lesnars success has been his size and he will always have that but how he got it was by cheating and for you to say that he is so athletic annoys me. I wonder why he isnt cut as fuck with an 8 pack for a stomach. Hmm lets see b/c he stopped taking steroids. Lesnars stand up is bad imo and I think Fedor would piece him up like he did all the other fighters he has fought and beat.

  54. dane drebin Says:
    March 27th, 2009 at 7:04 pm

right now fedor and lesnar arent even in the same league and shouldnt be in the same sentence. maybe in a few years lesnar could give fedor problems but wait until the guy has atleast 10 fights before talking abotu him and fedor going at it.

  55. Rubs Says:
    April 15th, 2009 at 12:11 pm

Fedor = hasn’t been dominated or defeated(technically, due to a cut where in he fought the guy in another fight and destroyed him.) challenged except in the cro cop fight and that was when cro cop was on top.
Brock = beat herring and couture to become champ. Brock did NOT dominate the fight but i will not take away that he won it fair and square. Brock beat herring via unanimous decision. Fedor destroyed heath in the first round in pride when herring was a LOT better back then.

Brock has to prove himself first. I’m not saying he can’t. I’m saying he hasn’t yet.

  56. Jason Says:
    May 7th, 2009 at 3:39 pm

Their is much talk of lesnar’s superior wrestling skills in regard to “Fedor”. Well i disagree,he may be stronger. but people forget “Fedor” is a “”World Heavyweight” “Sambo” Champion” And was competing in sambo succesfully when “Brock was just a little kid. And if you watch the U.F.C only. then you are not a true fan of M.M.A. and really cannot speak with any authority on this sport at all… Its really odd to me. that so many here try to speak as if they actually know something about fighting. When they not only have never been in a M.M.A competition. But have never been in a fight period.

lesnar is a tool, at least right now, maybe in a few years he might be good. Mir already beat his ass. Fedor is the best. period. Even if he lost to Lesnar, Mir, or Barnett does not do away with what he already accomplished. The thing I dislike about mma, you can with a couple fights and voila your champ; people think your king shit. Like how Rampage didn’t take the fight with Rashad I mean come on these fighters should be fighting more frequently. Look at the way it was when UFC started, they would fight mutlitple times in one night. Compare it another sport, hockey, footbal, baseball, what if those teams only played 3 or 4 games a year(and that is being generous)…I’m just saying in the world of mma where any fighter can win on any given night….winning a couple fights like say Franklin(who I actually like) and they are champ. Just some things to think about.
I sure do hope Fedor comes to UFC though.
