UFC Primetime: St-Pierre vs. Penn To Debut Jan. 14 on Spike TV

Taking a page from HBO’s successful 24/7 hype documentary shows, the Ultimate Fighting Championships will debut a similar show dubbed “UFC Primetime: St. Pierre vs. Penn” set to air on January 14 on SpikeTV.

Leading up to the superfight between Georges St. Pierre and BJ Penn at UFC 94, the show will feature three 30 minute episodes airing on Wednesdays at 10:30 pm EST from starting Jan. 14 to Jan. 28.

    HBO's 24/7 was a good idea to help people stay interested in boxing. MMA's already big and it will keep gettin bigger so this show will help as well.

    It makes sense for UFC to make a show like this. Watching fight preperations always makes you more interested in the fight, i wouldn't have watched alot of boxing matches if the 24/7 shows hadn't had gripped me in. This is a great idea for us fans to have another MMA show and also for the UFC to get more PPV buys.

    yeah anytime you get free MMA anything on TV I enjoy it. Id say at this point besides reruns of other networks tv shows, and those Most intense moments on video type shows. That alot of SpikeTV's original series are now UFC based prolly about 30 %.

    yeah, great idea. I plan on watching the de la hoya figt after watching the current 24/7. That's proly the only reason i'll watch it to. maybe this new show will draw more ppl in to watch this mega fight with penn and gsp.
