According to MMAWeekly, Joe Doerksen suffered a broken orbital bone in the first round of his loss to Ed Herman at UFC 78 on Saturday night.
Worse for Doerksen, Herman also broke his orbital bone with a knee to the face in the first round. Depending on the severity of the injury, Doerksen is likely to be out of commission for several months.
I'll bet Doerksen wishes there would have been just a few more seconds left in that round.
