Alistair Overeem is Confident That His Fight with Brock Lesnar Will Be Short

Call it confidence or call it arrogance but Alistair Overeem does not think Brock Lesnar is going to last against him in their upcoming bout.

It’s not going to go go the second round. I’m going to knock him out in the first round.

This fight is being promoted as a Wrestler vs. Striker match-up between these two heavyweight behemoths. The question is has Brock improved his stand-up abilities. In last two fights with Shane Carwin and Cain Velasquez he showed his inexperience by turning away and turtling up when he was being hit with shots. Now he’s set to face one of the best Heavyweight strikers in the world in Overeem who has held titles in K-1, Dream, and Strikeforce.

The two meet at UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem which is being held in Las Vegas on December 30, the promotions first headline event to be held on a Friday night.
