Following the devastating knockout loss to Junior Dos Santos at UFC 90, UFC heavyweight top contender Fabricio Werdum has apparently not come to terms on a new contract and has left the UFC, according to MMAWeekly.
Sources indicate that Werdum was expecting a title shot, but the KO derailed any chance of that happening anytime soon. The Chute Box fighter will likely try to negotiate a spot in the US based Affliction promotion or possibly DREAM or Sengoku in Japan.

i think he should have fight brock before brock fight randy..but whatever
i am not a fan of werdums but he is a top hw, its a shame to see another top hw leave the ufc, after the 4 man tourney who are these guys going to fight that are true top hw's.
it seems like everytime i turn around the UFC is losing someone. They need to start paying their fighters more
wow the heavyweight division just keeps getting better.
on sherdog someone posted that werdum released a statement that said this was false and the ufc had not released him
It's probably true, this site usually is correct with their reports from what i've seen.
