EliteXC “Heat” is set to go off on Oct. 4 from the Bank Atlantic Center in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The CBS broadcast card is headlined by two heavyweight battles, first Kimbo Slice will take on MMA legend Ken Shamrock in the main event. Co-headlining the card is a battle between former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski and the big boy of the IFL, Roy Nelson. MMA

BREAKING NEWS: Ken Shamrock was not allowed to fight after suffering a cut within 24 hours before the fight. He will not fight and has left the arena. The Seth Petruzelli and Aaron Rosa fight has been skipped, it is rumored that Petruzelli will replace Shamrock and take on Kimbo Slice.
UPDATE: Its Official Kimbo Slice will take on Seth Petruzelli in the main event.

This is a good card but AA the pit bull vs Big country should be the main fight. If Ken survives the wind from kimbo's punch and is able to take him down without breaking a hip, he might just win with a heel lock.LOL!

Why even say another fight should be the main event? Okay from a skill lvl sure but its not about skill its about the ratings and more people know who kimbo is and they know who ken is. No normal non mma fan will kno big country and only a few non fans if any will know who AA is. This should be great though. I cant wait till Daley gets beat. He is a punk. Radach and Ninja is a great fight. I like Benji and I cant stand Ninja. I love those kind of fights. Also dont bash on peope for selling fights. TERRIBLE news for EliteXC. Not only do they lose the big name of Shamrock, but Petruzelli has an even better chance of beating Kimbo than Ken did. This could be a very bad night for the company. They lose their main event fight, and they could see their biggest draw lose to a name not known to the wider MMA audience.

What TUF season was Petruzelli from? That was absolutely beautiful by him. I watched that fight replay with Kimbo vs seth over and over and i swear to god that was fake. Elite xc has done questionable fake promotion for there fight ie chaos in the ring after all that crap talking so i wouldnt put it past them to let kimbo go down to give fans what they wanted. he looked depressed and not ready in pre fight intervies possibly due to ken dropping out but who knows. it looked to me like a short punch to the eye not cabale of knocking anyone down let alone keeping kimbo laying there not even attempting to fight or defend himself and none of the finishing punches hardly even hit him. It was staged people its not as real as it gets anymore with elite xc at least.
