According to Strikeforce, UFC veteran Joe Riggs will take on Kazuo Misaki (20-8-2) in the second show at the Playboy Mansion dubbed “Strikeforce at the Mansion II” slated for September 20th.
Riggs (28-10-1) is coming off a win at Rage in the Cage 112 defeating Matt Dempsey by submission in the second round.
The former UFC veteran’s career has been plagued by back injuries and an addiction to painkillers.
Riggs:
“I’m dropping to 170 pounds and gonna jump into the top 10 in that divisionâ€
Misaki:
“I am looking forward to making my debut for Strikeforce at The Playboy Mansion, an incredible venue that is well-known throughout the world….Joe Riggs is a tremendous competitor. His style is aggressive like mine so I have no doubt that our fight will be an exciting and memorable one.â€
