Heath won't have any troubles dismantling Brock Lesnar. They're light years apart in terms of skills and experience.
its a hard one to call for me i see brock winning but would not be suprized in the least bit if heath won
I agree, but I think Lesnar will most likely win, if he does, by knockout. If and when it goes to the ground, I think Herring can out maneuver him. I know Lesnar is incredibly strong, but I don't think he will know how to use that to his advantage.
Come on here you cant say that Lesnar doesnt know how to use his size and strength to his advantage, your obviously not that knowledgable in wrestling as that is what wrestling is and Brock has been doing that for over almost 20 years. The man know s how to use his wieght and strength and speed to his advantage and i do not see herring out manuevering Lesnar the man was a nationa lchampion wrestler who pinned 95% of his oppenents meaning he kept men of his size flat on their backs for a period of 5- 10 seconds to get the win, that is very impressive so i dont see Herring out manuevering lesnar in wrestling. This will go like this Lesnar strikes herring goes down, lesnar gets the takedowns at will with no defense from herring and lesnar KO's him in the first round and if it happens to go the distance lesnar is in far better conditioning for a man of his size to go 10 rounds, have you seen his training regume the man is insane and given he already has the mindset of a wrestling champion and eveyone knows wrestlers have the best conditoning of any athlete out there know combine that with the MMA skills. Herring really cant compare and the only he has going for him is experience which does not guarantee a victory at all.
lesnar won't out strike herring but i think he will win,but don't be surprized if lesnar loses, the good thing is we get to see this weekend.
I like that Lesnar is fighting Herring. It proves he wants to be a true heavyweight contender and not just fight lower ranked fighters for huge sums of money….. Yeah sure he makes huge sums of money but 2 fights with 2 top heavyweights proves he is serious and not just out there to earn UFC some money from the pro wrestling fans, which is what i thought would have happened when i 1st heard he signed for UFC.
As the fight goes its a tough one to call. Brock is by far the stronger man, but with all the experience Heath has i wouldn't be suprised if another rookie mistake costs Lesnar the fight.
Yeah Brock is throwing himself out there right away. I'm just glad he didn't go the chump route to get some W's. Herring is really experienced so I hope Brock knows what he's doing in there.
I really like Brock and I used to be a fan when he was in the WWE. But Heath is a tough SOB from my home state so I've got to root for him in this one.
Well Tim, I definately don't think you are wrong. But, I have seen straight wrestling mentality against straight jiu jitsu mentality. I know Lesnar has been training in jiu jitsu, but I think thats where the experience comes into play. I also don't see how his striking can be better. Stonger definately, but I don't know about better. Besides, these are exactly the things people said about Mir. Lesnar is a phenomenal wrestler, I just don't think he has adapted well enough yet as a mixed martial artist. I still say, give him more time and he will be great.
I have said it before and i will say it again, Brock is not just a damn baby in this sport, he has a shit load of potential and extreme wrestling skills and very strong, quick and hell of alot faster and stronger than herring is. Herring will not manhandle lesnar but i wouldnt be surprised to see it the other way around. Lesnar had his way with Mir and you have to look at his credentials the man has a 106-5 wrestling record and a national championship he pinned his opponents 95% of the time that my friends if you knew anything about wrestling is more impressive than anything especially in DIV 1 school as in Minnesota. The skills you learn in wrestling transfer over to MMA and transition very easily into any move or reversal or takedown you can think of, there is alot more to wrestling than just trying to take the guy down for points, there is strength, speed, technique and conditioning involved. I will tell you this herring is not in the shape as lesnar is and anything can happen but i do not see herring winning this one unless something happens, i just hope that the same ref isnt reffing this one as in the MIR fight, that was bullshit no warnings no nothing. Anyways with all due respect Herring thinks he is going to walk in and walk all over Lesnar… he has another thing coming look at the man… he is a freak of nature and moves like a damn ferrari. Still the question remains can lesnar take a punch or a beating and keep ticking…i think so but that will be the test this saturday.. i will be watching and rooting for the future of this sport in Brock Lesnar…
RyaN- Much agreed in some aspects, all in due time but if lesnar beats herring decisively watch out and i hope he does. i do not see lesnar getting KO or TKO at all, submitted…possibly but i truly dont think lesnar will let this one get away he has to much riding on this to win. as i said before the only thing the herring has is experience but that doesnt guarantee shit.
i agree with you tim….lesnar is hungry right now and if there is a fight he could pick it would be against a guy that likes to stand and bang like herring…lesnar is goin to get the win for this one but i dont think that he'll ever become UFC heavyweight champion…maybe eliteXC but i dont think ever in the UFC
never say never my friend…..all in due time if lesnar really focuses on this watch out he will be UFC champion in fact if he wins the next 3 fights he has he will be in title contention no doubt.
good points there tim. i think if brock was fighting coleman i would have said hands down he would win. now that its herring i still think brock will win but i don't think he will end it quick. herring is a vet who can take punches as good as any other heavyweight. i'm ready to see this go down already.
