anyone else notice jones never stares down his opponent? He's always looking at their chest or something. Like he's thinkin he knows he's about to do evil upon the person he's across from, and can't stand to see the face he's about to break

    …or he's just respectful

I respect Greg but has any of his fighters been a champ? I am not counting GSP because GSP was a champ already (I beleive) when he started training with Jackson. He has some good fighters and I respect him but for some reason he can't get a belt in his camp. Maybe Jones will be the first.

He's had a few fighter be champ. Arlovski and Rashad. Carwin if you count the interm title.

I don't think it's being any more or less respectful at all if you make eye contact when you walk to the center of the cage. It's all about how you do it. of course you can go in there like diego and smash your face against theirs, but just making eye contact can be more of a show of respect than not.

  6. Tico says:

Good point, but traditionally in Martial Arts we bow to our opponents rather than the Boxing stare-down, which has always seemed silly, as if one was intimidating the other or something, but I hear what your saying.
