Alistair Overeem vs Fabricio Werdum Rematch Set For Strikeforce ‘Carano vs. Cyborg’

Strikeforce heavyweight champion Alistair Overeem (29-11) will finaly defend his title against former UFC heavyweight champion Fabricio Werdum (11-4-1) at Strikeforce “Carano vs. Cyborg” on August 15th, according to MMAfanhouse.

Werdum defeated Overeem by Submission (Kimura) at PRIDE Total Elimination Absolute, in 2006.

Fabricio Werdum:

“I’m going to take the other arm home …. And then the third time it’s going to be hard to fight with no arms at all.”

    yeah werdum already beat overeem, and if it hits the mat he will probally do it again, werdum didn't respect dos santos and paid for it but he is better than that.

    This is going to be a really good event. I'm happy that Strikeforce and Affliction are putting up good cards now that the consolidation of UFC/WEC/PRIDE has long been done, so MMA fans can enjoy more quality fights than just what the UFC offers.

    Can't wait for Saturday's UFC 100. Amazing card from preliminaries to main event.
