nice Rampage! You called em. Didn't see Chuck going out like that.
Nice call, Rampage. Especially half way through the fights. Need to go read a couple more of your posts to see if you really know anything…..calling yourself Rampage makes me wonder…..nevertheless, if you are a betting man, and your bookie allows you to make 3rd round bets, (or halfway thru the 1st) tomorrow's payday. Nice job.
Figures. I am so bad at picking fights, I did "opposite picks" this time, and wouldn't ya know it? I split down the middle. hahaha. 6-5 with the opposite picks, and 5-6 straight up. At least I'm getting better…
Next weekend, I got (straight up): Hamill, McGee, Attonito, Camozzi, Tavares and McSweeney.
For 116, I got Carwin, Akiyama, Lytle, Soszynski, and Sotiropoulos.
Sotiropoulos is my guarantee. If he loses, then I'll have nothing more to believe in. Hahaha.
What happened to make the refs start calling everything SUPER early?
who in here is still on Lidells nuts?
Just goes to show when you suffer many KOs you never fully recover. Chuck looked great and I thought he was winning until he got caught. His chin is gone, simple as that. Still think Chuck in his prime would beat Rich and I like Rich. Chuck has to retire now. Nobody wants to see this keep happening.
all i can say is WOW
Yeah, its weird ninjas, it's like I just turned on the internet and "saw" the results.
I am still on liddells nuts i suppose. IF respecting him for being the face of the entire sport for 5 or 6 years, watching exciting fights and him not try to point his way to victories, not act like a punk in the media, not fake injuries, not fake getting hit with knees and head kicks. He did it the way it should be done, go for the kill. Went out the way any true warrior would want to, on his shield. Great career chuck, thanks for the fights.
Here is my opnion Yeh Chuck was a great fighter. But the guys he fought in the past all tried to take him down remember? Take chuck down thats the only way to beat him. Chuck fought all grapplers and wrestlers. Tito twicw, babalu twice, couture twice. When he actually fought someone that wanted to stand with him he gets knocked the fuck out
During his reign, Chuick did not fight extremly strong talented guys, but he fought better fighters than the ones that Hughes and Sylvia fought. When Chuck went to Pride, he got KTFO! He will go down as a legend but as we review his wins, beating guys like Vernon White, Kevin Randallman, jeremy Horn and Tito Ortiz, he beat a bunch of mediocre fighters. it is not his fault that the competition was so shitty but you have to be careful on how you rank him knowing that he beat his weak opponents and his losses came to the better ones…which isn't shameful, but that helps you see where he "truly" stacks up.
Jay, Chuck fought plenty of guys who used to test his chin and the old Chuck would have been able to take that punch from Rich. It's well known that once you get KOed really bad a couple times than it's easier to get KOed. Yes fighters have gotten better but it's not cause he never used to fight strikers cause he did. His chin is gone, thats pretty much the deal.
agreed the punch that put him out was a joke, when you get Ko'd by something like that its time to step away before you end up a vegetable. No disrespect to franklin but he hit chuck with half a dozen punches earlier in the fight that were far better shots than that one.
and WTF was pat barry doing, looked like he was trying harder to give Cro cop a hand job than finish the fight, hugging with 2 minutes left in a round, really? Good for Martin Kampman, he should be on the short list for the next ass whippin GSP will dish out.
I guess Pat broke his hand in the first round and said he tried to hit with it but it hurt pretty bad. I think Pat could take Cro Cop in a rematch. He'd have to lose the whole respect thing too, kinda like when GSP dropped his respect meter for Hughes in their rematch and look waht happened. Can't be easy fighting your idol.
