Cheick Kongo def. Assuerio Silva by Decision.
Congo completely dominated the standup and put together some amazing combinations that had Silva rocked several times throughout the fight. Silva was able to take Congo down at will, he didnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t try to advance his poison. The referee had to stand up the fight several times. Silva eventually tired out from all the takedowns and Congo capitalized with some big punches and constant activity in the third round.
Michael Bisping def. Elvis Sinosic by TKO (due to strikes) 1:20, Round 2.
Bispig comes out and immediately dominates Sinizic. Sinizic takes hundreds of punches to the face leaving him bloody at the end of the first round. During the second round Sinisic lands a knee, knocking Bisping to the ground where he tries a couple of submissions before Bisping reverses the position and pounds Sinizic to a referee stoppage due to ground strikes. The Ã¢â‚¬Å“the king of rock and rumbleÃ¢â‚¬Â doesnÃ¢â‚¬â„¢t disappoint and helps Bisping to in impressive victory.
Andrei Arlovski def. Fabricio Werdum by Unanimous Decision
The first round was hand to hand standup with each fighter landing combinations. Arlovski had a small advantage at the end of the first round. Arlovski hunts his prey around the cage, stuffing all of Verdunes takedown attempts. Besides a last minute exchange, it was a very uneventful round. Then, before the start of the third round, Herb Dean takes away one point against Verduce for inactivity. Both fighters do nothing in the second and third rounds. The fight had a really disappointing ending, Arlovski pulls a Tim Sylvia and just stuffs take down attempts, does nothing in second and third rounds, but managed to capture the decision. Arlovski even apologized to his fans for not having a more eventful fight after being declared the winner.
Gabriel Gonzaga def. Mirko Ã¢â‚¬Å“Cro CopÃ¢â‚¬Â Filipovic by KO (head kick) at 4:51
Gonzaga instantly pushed the action early with a takedown of Mirko Cro Cop. Gonzaga threw punches and elbows in Cro CopÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s guard, cutting Cro Cop on the hairline. The referee stood them up towards the end of the first round. Gonzaga threw a high leg kick, knocking Mirko Cro Cop out cold. As Cro Cop went down his leg buckled under him. Amaziningly, Cro Cop was completely out, but seemed ok in the post fight interview.
