You can’t really beat the bitter rivalry at UFC 145 between Rashad Evans and Jon Jones, but there is another rivalry between two of the highest ranking lightweights in the world that nobody is talking about. Tomorrow night at Bellator 66, Eddie Alvarez (22-3) and Shinya Aoki (30-5), will have a rematch that is over three years in the making.
Aoki was able to hand Alvarez the second loss of his career with a submission (heel hook) at K-1 Dynamite back in December 2008. Now through Bellator we finally get to see the rematch of that match that seemed like it ended way too early.
You can watch Bellator 66: Alvarez vs. Aoki on Friday, April 20th at 8/7c on MTV2.
Alvarez vs. Aoki I

Nobody is talking because it is not even close to being the type of fight that jones/evans will be. Plus it is ballator which has some good mma but it is a different type of mma because of their championship format. So thats why no body really cares about this fight.
Please, this is a great fight.
All Alvarez needs to do is punch him in the face Aoki hates to get hit and turtles up. Aoki has great submissions but he cannot take a punch. see sakuri , hansen and melendez all punched him in the face.
Lets be honest, does anyone really like getting hit in the face.
forrest griffin, edgar garcia both seem to like it. but no most do not but the good / great mma fighters dont let it affect them so much. that was brock lesners kyptonite , he hated getting punched same with aoki he is almost scared to get hit.
