Strikeforce: Fedor vs Werdum Expected In June

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker stated at the DREAM 13 press conference in Japan that we can expect Fedor Emelianenko back in the cage against Fabricio Werdum towards the end of June.

“M-1 Global and Strikeforce entered into a three fight contract exclusive for Fedor to fight in a co-promotion between Strikeforce and M-1 Global, and as you know we did the first fight on Nov 7 in Chicago …. Fedor is now scheduled to fight in June towards the end of the month in America against Fabricio Werdum.” [Weekly]

Fedors and Strikforces relationship came in to question as news of his fight with Werdum kept being pushed back from April, then May and now the end of June.

Apparently Fedors management was unhappy with the terms of his three fight contract and wanted it renegotiated.
