Light heavyweight Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will have a chance to prove himself against Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell at UFC 97 “Redemption” on April 18, from the Bell Centre in Montreal Quebec, Canada.
I think we are finally gonna see the badass shogun that we should have been seeing finally step into the octagon. Atleast thats what im hoping for.

wasnt he saying before the coleman fight how now the ufc would finally see the shogun we should have seen against griffin? i hope he comes in better shape because even tho lidell is old ive never seen him gas. and lidell is gunna be bringing a lot more heat on the end of his punches than coleman did.
This should be a great fight , I think chuck matches up good for Shogun both have decent standup. the only problem i see for Shogun is his conditioning in his last fight he looked exhausted , never the less Shogun should win this fight and be in contention to fight for the title.
shogun is very lucky to be given this opportunity after his last embarrasing outing against the hammer. this fight will decide his fate with the ufc. i dont know how he trains but for a guy who is not yet 30 he does not look like an athlete worthy of ufc competition. i have seen his past fights but this is clearly not the same guy. he is lost.
